I'm afraid I don't have anything even mildly original to say. I liked it ofc. I guess? Idk it made me a little uneasy. Which was probably the point.

I liked how after all the fluff and jokes the terrorism and loid protecting yor thing was addressed seriously. Very on brand.

I liked how we're shown the context for Yor's reaction in the previous chapter (that she was shaking bc she was scared for loid).

I really liked how Loid told Yuri to shut up. Yuri needs to be put in place.

I liked how Yor told loid clearly what's on her mind. Good communication. I love to see it.

I liked how loids spiral was subdued and internal.

I liked how loid can see himself in Yor's eyes.

Maybe he can see how she sees him? Maybe a little. Maybe he won't be suicidal anymore. That would be great.

Damn now that I think about it, i think Twilight might have some kind of advanced derealization or whatever it's called. And this scene reminded me of that glass shattering moment when you realize that you're like part of the world around you and not just a spectator. Like this glass devide shattering. That's enough to make you spiral.

Anyway, seems like all those different impulses (?), how do you call it, like completing the mission, his feelings for his family and the instinct to detach himself from them are all coming in conflict. Its like the chapter at the begging of this arc. He can't make a move.

Bro is going to combust soon (not really soon but soon for sxf).

Overall, it was a good chapter. I wonder how are these things going to pay off later

Oh and I liked how anya looks here. She's so funny.

I showed this comic to my students. They all got excited, but one girl, I'm not kidding, KNEELED and started BEGGING me to make a comic about her. She is one of my favourite, if not THE favourite student so I just can't decline... and it so happens that I actually got a story about her.

The girl, i don't want to use her real name, let's call her Angela. Angela is an absolute menace to society. If "gremlin child" was in the dictionary (idk maybe it is) then her photo should be there for illustration. She is a miniature version of me. She even looks like me when I was a child. Akward bangs and all. She loves to just stare at you menacingly and do all sort of grinch-like faces. Being weird is her bread and butter. I love her.

So, for context, a few weeks ago I was a tad overworked, but I finally found some time to go out. It was the worst day of the week (the most difficult children are jammmed all into this one day). And straight after work i went to meet with my friends and eventually get some drinks. Few drinks after, its almost midnight, I got up at 5:30 that day, I have work the next day, so half alive I get on the train home.

I'm looking at my phone and then I notice that someone is standing next to me. It was Angela. 8-year-old Angela. On an almost empty train, close to midnight. On a weekday. We have our class at 9 am the next day.

I called her name weakly. She did not respond. Just stared more intensely with her grinch smile. Great now I'm having hallucinations.

This was so scary. But I should've known that it's just Angela's shenanigans again.

Question about the covers:

The chairs and stuff is great but I like how the sxf title is different for every character (or groups of characters) EXCEPT for some. Twilight and Yor have it in the same place and configuration, Henderson and Martha have it mirrored (ig twiguy and yor have it mirrored too since the authors name is on opposite sides) and Anya and Becky are paired as well. I love how Anya is paired with her bestie and not Damian. I'm guessing that he's going to be mirroring Donovan when he appears on the cover.

BUT there's one more pair.

And it's Nightfall and Melinda for some reason??? What in the crackship does that mean?

So I was thinking about this. And I assume the covers indicate they'll be friends...? It's not mirrored, the number and name of the author are in different places so it's more like Anya and Becky. But I just don't see it... Maybe it's because I don't care for Nightfall. Like at all. But also what would be their dynamic? The only thing I could think of was this:

But what would make her want friends?

Omg wait. What if Nightfall was trying again with this neostrix bullshit and Sylvia got fed up and told her that Yor is an invaluable resource because of her connection to Melinda. So Nightfall decides to hijack their friendship and becomes Yor's rival not only in love but in friendship. OMG I WOULD LOVE to see Nightfall try to win Melinda's attention but losing every time to Yor, who's oblivious the whole time.

Okay. I was wrong. I see the vision.

Oh I remembered something. I teach fourth grade too and those girls love to distract me from the lesson with some new tea.

So naturally I knew that one of them got a boyfriend. She met him online but not really because he's from her class. But he doesn't know that because her mom told her not to use her real name online (fair ig 😭). So she's catfishing him in a way(?). Then she heard someone ask him about his girlfriend and he said that he met her online and her name is... he used a different name. Not her fake one. Not her real one. Different one. So apparently he's cheating on her and I'm not entirely sure how they found out but the girl he's cheating with is also a girl from their class. That she hates.

Next week, I'm obviously still enthralled by the last week gossip and then she mentions her boyfriend again.

"Didn't he cheat on you with that girl?", I ask.

"Oh, I got a new one from roblox."

"..."

I got some new info today.

Surprisingly she's still with her new boyfriend BUT she's also with her last boyfriend because she still hasn't broken up with him. So now she's two timing??😭
