🟠Forced time (Soyou & Yi Huai)
Embarrassment and frustration was clear in her expression as Soyou mulishly glared at the target a few feet away from her. Lowering her hand that was still holding onto a bow, the brunette couldn’t help but take note of the arrows that were centimeters away from the bull’s eye. Failure was something that she wasn’t accustomed to, and it tasted bitter in her mouth.
She didn’t even realize that things were actually that bad until her teacher had approached her after class and said that they had assigned someone to teach her how to aim better. They said that a “Li Yi Huai would see her in their indoor practice grounds that evening”, and so here she was. In a typical move for the vampire, Soyou had arrive half an hour early from the agreed upon time. She was usually content with just ten minutes, but her nerves had prompted her to get there as quickly as she could.
The thing was, she didn’t even know where she was lacking. She took note of her posture and tried her best to even out her breathing before she fired. Heck, she even took account the angle she shot from as well as the wind (if there ever was any), so why couldn’t she hit the damn center of the board? The door to the room opened, and blood red orbs met eyes that were just as red as she snapped to the direction where the sound came from. “Uh, hi. I’m Soyou. I’m assuming you’re Yi Huai?”
@yihuai-ia
“a correct assumption.” is all he offers her, his words brusque and short as the mirrorwalker moves further into the practice room. he is buzzing with clear irritation but it had less to do with her and more with the fact that he had been forced to tutor someone in the first place. he had an excellent handle on the bow and arrow as it was his main weapon but he had thought these classes were simply for his own benefit. imagine being approached by someone and being told to use his skills in order to improve someone elses failures. he had only ever been ordered as such by his father so to take it from a mere faculty memeber had angered him in the first place.
he doesn’t feel as if he has to introduce himself considering she already seemed to know who he was (no thanks to the teacher, of course) and so he just sweeps in with the pure white cloth of his clothing trailing lightly behind him. “I’m here because apparently you’re not that great at archery.” his voice is deadpanned, bored and neutral just like his eyes as he sweeps them along her as if attempting to see any weakness in her posture that might translate whens he held the weapon in her hands. though he would expect a lot of her weakness is that archery is not a life and death skill for her. she would be able to survive without it and so she might not understand just what it meant to hold it within her grasp.
“shoot for me, let me see what your problem is.” he orders, sweeping his hand out towards the targets without looking away from her. the quicker that they got this done with, the happier he would be.
