Admittedly, one minor challenge here will be letting go of all that comes with single: not having to check in with someone else, always having other options, only thinking about yourself in terms of life choices, etc. There is a certain hyper-independence within you that you might need to check. They have the tendency to use money and gifts to try and win your affection or even as an apology (as opposed to actually saying it and holding themselves accountable). They might have some traditional beliefs that they should be the man of the house and the main provider. While you’re gonna be the stay at home wife and mom. They might be too career and job oriented that they have tunnel vision and are unable to be fully present in the relationship with you. To the point that they even become ruthless or a tyrant at work. They have a giant chip on their shoulder and will go to great lengths to prove everyone wrong. Very serious about their career and even their appearance and who they’re seen with (so picky about their friends and who they associate with). They’re very wishy washy when it comes to their emotions and how they treat/see you. Sometimes they’re cold in public and with other people, kind of brushing you aside. Then when you two get home they’re so warm and affectionate. They’re very moody and sensitive. They’re also unsure if they want commitment with you, or if they see you and the connection as a fun hook up. Very immature and unsure of the direction they want the connection to go. Ex: “in 4 years we’ll get married”. They’re very nonchalant and they’re the same way when they talk about the connection to their friends and family.
