We went to Paris... it was supposed to be Spain, but we couldn't get past Paris, we enjoyed that so much... on the strength of his hundred quid when he was twenty-one. We went hitch-hiking, we kind of said, 'well look, I mean, we could get to Spain on this', you know, hundred quid, you know? He was kind of... do you think john was emotionally dependent on paul? i know their love was mutual but i wonder if john felt like he needed paul more than paul did, especially until 67/68. considering john's mental health wasn't too stable, seems to me that he saw paul as a kind of a safe haven
