in addition to being a smug asshole, yoda is pretty much the biggest piece of shit… like, in the galaxy. here’s a small list of people yoda has been a dick to;
•luke, for taking his food, then saying he’s just like his genocidal father. THEN making him choose between his friends & his training (which he also did with anakin? apparently he doesn’t learn) AND THEN telling luke he was just like his father, AGAIN, after he found out darth vader was his father & cut off his hand. also, choosing to die RIGHT when luke asks for advice. like okay thanks.•r2-d2, because he hit him with a stick which is homophobic.•anakin, for constantly belittling his emotions and sort of being the entire reason he falls to the dark side (ignore the dreams, loving people is dangerous, etc). that whole situation was A Mess. and as i mentioned before, he doesn’t LEARN from this, he still acts the same way around luke, treats him exactly the same & belittles his emotions just like he did to anakin. also telling a 9 year old TO HIS FACE that he’s too old to be trained is a dick move.•ahsoka, because where do i even begin. assigning a teenage girl to learn from the most emotionally unstable jedi that he knows. for basically using her as an experiment to see if anakin could let go. and also kicking her out of the order, which she was practically all she knew, with no real evidence that she deserved it. then, instead of apologizing, inviting her back in by saying “the force works in mysterious ways” LIKE OKAY???•qui-gon, by disagreeing with everything he says. he doesn’t respect his opinions, he thinks he always knows best, and he doesn’t treat him like the jedi master he is. also, and idk if this is yoda’s fault per se, but when obi-wan’s ghost is talking to luke on hoth & he says “there you will learn from the jedi master that trained me” when referring to yoda. this is qui-gon erasure.•obi-wan, for sending him to kill his best friend even though he specifically asked not to. also, for not taking him seriously when obi-wan said it would be a bad idea to send anakin alone with padme. also, and i cant remember if this is to obi-wan’s face or not, but saying not to mourn qui-gon, who literally JUST died. like sure.•all the force-sensitive children in the galaxy for kidnapping them and making them become jedi against their will
