The shooting locations of “Chen Qing Ling” are in Hengdian and Guizhou, and there are a lot of real scenes. For example, the bamboo forest in Yunshen was a scene opened up by cutting off some bamboo in a hill near Hengdian. The Great Lake outside the Lotus Dock in Yunmeng is an hour and a half away from Hengdian Film and Television City.

“The real scene has advantages and disadvantages. The road in Guizhou is very difficult to travel on but the destination is very beautiful. But we had a very hard time shooting. First, we went on Panshan asphalt road for more than two hours, then the Panshan dirt road, and there was no fence beside it. It was very dangerous. After reaching the top of the mountain, you have to walk for at least 40 minutes. The top of the mountain has no road at all. It’s all grass about knee height. We still walk over, but the staff have to carry all the machine.”

The theme song "Unrestrained 《无羁》” of “Chen Qingling” was composed by Lin Hai, a famous musician. Lin Hai is also responsible for the production of several important OSTs, such as “洗华”. At that time, the film provided Lin Hai with a demand list, which indicated the style and melody requirements of several important tunes, as well as the position of the tunes in the original works and scripts. For “Unrestrained 《无羁》”, Yang Xia’s request at that time was a sense of righteousness. “We don’t want this song to fall into something too emotional. As a theme song, we try our best to reflect the feeling of the whole drama. It’s a little bit relaxed and unrestrained.”

Xinmei Media has finished two “Chen Qing Ling” films this year, and then plans to make a cinema movie, and will also launch a mobile game during the winter vacation. The actor and the behind-the-scenes team used by NetEase are basically the original actors of the TV series.

Marriages and mortgages and families and opposite sex attraction talk and talking about sex openly without being made to feel like you are making people uncomfortable and hearing straight people talk about how hard dating is for them and hearing straight people talk about how they are such victims and their lives are shit when what this really means is they aren’t married at age 22 and sexist crap that drives me crazy like traditional weddings and how great religion is and how the world is so lovely and kind and great because people don’t know what it’s like to be a minority and how straight people are like “this person is so lovely” when you know they are homophobic or listening to straight people say things are “gay” or talk about people who dress unconventionally (ie. men who wear dresses) as being weird or doing impressions of gay people or asking “why don’t you have a boyfriend?” judgementally as if it is just that easy or getting annoyed at you when you complain about how hard your life is because it’s easy for them cause they are straight and wouldn’t know the first thing about it or having to come out to people all the time cause they just assume you’re straight and getting weird looks like “tmi” or “you don’t look gay” or “I don’t care what you do in the bedroom” or having to hear straight people talk about really cute straight couples or really great romantic films or books about straight people or just watching people live super conventional lives and do really sexist old fashioned things just because no one is brave enough to question or think about anything… and worst of all knowing that if you were to say or talk about anything gay everyone would get uncomfortable and not join in on the conversation and wish you had said nothing… and then people will be like “you hardly said anything”, “you’re so quiet”, “you don’t talk much”, “are you shy”, “you’re boring”.

No bitch I’m gay and I don’t relate to nor am I really interested in any of the shit that you have been yelling to my face for the last hour.

It’s exhausting reading this right? Well that’s what’s it’s like for us gay people to have to listen to straight people’s opinions on things over and over and over

It really must be exhausting to live like this. Perceiving everything around you as gay or straight. Never have it ever come up to your mind that in a movie or a book, or just a gossip about a love story among 2 people the interesting, beautiful, relatable part that makes it worth listening, watching, reading, knowing is exactly the love story about 2 people, regardless if they are straight or gay? You are completely losing the point. Not about straight people conversations, but about life, pal. Wake up. Use your rage against real menaces, like the corporations that are polluting the planet, for love’s sake.
