Alter Ego is the sequel of YONO and also the title of YONO’s new single, released in summer of 2019. It reflects on the relationship, interaction and sometimes blurred limits between the author and his performance character.
The lyric video, which has been published as a first part of Alter Ego, is based on YONO’s Instagram Stories from 2018.
Alter Ego seizes on the visual impact of fire arms as a symbol of power and masculinity, and questions these relationships.
YONO, an art direction project which researches, through performance, the inner workings of fake-it-till-you-make-it of our generation, aspirations toward fame, and the line between what’s fake and what’s real. YONO was awarded an ADG Laus Bronze 2019.

The project consists in the creation of the identity and execution of the visual communications for the fictitious artist, YONO. Posing the facade on two fronts: Instagram and public events; meanwhile maintaining a steady pace performing in the world of trap music.
The aim is to entertain, but also to bring awareness to the use/abuse of social media and to promote diversity by thinking beyond heteronormativity.
The original project’s outcome in 2018 were two trap music singles, their cover art, and one music video; a compilation video of Instagram stories published during the days of active performance; and the design and production of a jean jacket based on the visual identity of YONO.
Sentiment Solutions by the Performance Class of HfG Offenbach is a 360° virtual exposition of students’ individual projects, supervised by Prof. Britta Thie, workshopped with New Scenario. It was awarded by Frankfurter Künstlerhilfe in 2017 as Best Project of HfG Offenbach’s annual show and featured by Novembre Magazine.
