"New Year, New Me" Bullshit

Out of my few resolutions this year, the most critical one has been affecting my relationships. It deeply saddens me to say that I've been avoiding hangouts with people who I only see occasionally. The reason? Simply put, the dreaded question: "What do you do?" When I see people that I haven't seen in months/years, it's only natural that career/job related questions come up. But I'd honestly rather avoid that subject like the plague. I've realized a good while ago that I don't enjoy my current job & I have yet to make a move in a new direction. I'm ashamed of where I am in my life. I'm scared of my friends, family, & even my boyfriend will cut me off if this goes on. So in 2016, I hope to find a career path that I can be proud of. One that I can openly talk about with the people I care about and the people that I will have the pleasure of reconnecting with. :)
