A hint of AsaKanza because I havenāt drawn AC in a while, and Iād like to include the gal. That, and I got some encouragement from Luna to include Yukiko.
That, and because I be hella biased towards my favorites, as yāall should know by now :P
FINAL FIGHT
The Asanos (Assassination Classroom) VS the Zoldycks (Hunter X Hunter)
The Asanos
Members: Gakuhou Asano (father) and Gakushuu Asano (son)
Propaganda:
CW: physical abuse
"Crazy dad whose misguided goal is just to make his son strong (but whose definition of real strength leaves much to be desired), and son who does see the error in his dad's ways but is brainwashed enough to imagine that his "filial duty" under the circumstances is to "take control". No one knows for sure if a mom exists, but she clearly doesn't want to have much to do with these lunatics." "The dad doesn't even consider his son family, just a "student" as he is a principal. Utterly unhumane conditions is where he trains his son in. And worst of all, they compete on who will control the other, leash included. The first time the son even considers calling him father is when he literally abuses him physically."
The Zoldycks
Members: Zeno, Silva, Kikyo, Illumi, Milluki, Killua, Alluka, Kalluto
Propaganda:
CW: murder, torture, isolation
"What ISN'T dysfunctional about them? A family of assassins, they train all their children to be killers, including with literal torture. Killua is the one of the family who's a main character, the heir of the family, and he eventually runs away due to the dysfunctionality. All the kids are isolated, told they don't deserve friendship, and they all have different opinions on family matters but it affects them all! Illumi wants to control Killua to as extreme a degree as he possibly can, and even though Silva lets Killua leave, he fully expects him to return home and join the family business again, and both him and Zeno knew about Illumi's extreme methods of control." Note: edited for length, full submission here

Disney admits it was wrong to cancel owl house
The exact quote from the article: āAt first, [the executives] would see the show trending every other day on Twitter and be like, 'Oh, anyone can trend on Twitter, that doesn't actually mean anything,' but seeing the views on YouTube and seeing the people who came to New York Comic Con [gave them] a much better idea that, 'Oh no,' the show is actually successful,'" Terrace said. "For the crew, it's extremely validating because we work our asses off."
āOh no the show is actually successfulā

Regarding the Hunter plotline of this ep, can you imagine if weād gotten a whole season of human realm adventures? A whole season of Hunter being gradually taken over by Belos?
Like, in the beginning, everything is fine. The Human Realm is new, and scary, but itās also exciting. Belos is gone, and he canāt hurt him anymore. For the first time in probably his whole life, Hunter can actually relax.
And then, it happens.
Whispers, faint and uncomfortably familiar, when heās alone at night. A shadow in the corner of his eye that skitters away when he turns to look. Nightmares of a monstrous figure standing over him, eyes gleaming with malice, talking to him in Belosās voice.
Hunter swears up and down that Belos is back, that heās there, right t h e r e, but nobody else sees him. Nobody else hears his chilling laugh echoing endlessly within his head, the cruel whispers of how heāll never escape Belos, how he was such an easy pawn, and why would he betray him? After all heās done for Hunter, why would he be so ungrateful? The others canāt see Belos, canāt hear him; they donāt say it, but Hunter knows they pity him, think him paranoid and delusional. They wonāt help him, whispers that voice again. Why would they?
And episode by episode, Hunter begins to change. He snaps at the others more often, gets this uncomfortably cold glint to his eyes, face twisting into a condescending sneer that sounds almost uncomfortably familiar in its cadence when he says what should be innocuous things like āWhy havenāt you found a way to get us back yet, Luz? I thought you wanted to stay in the Demon Realmā or āSurely you can figure this out, humanā.
Everyone around him grows more and more worried as they start to notice these changes. They talk amongst themselves, wondering how to best approach him and help him, because heās clearly growing more and more stressed and paranoid, and they want to help him, but Hunter canāt accept their help, canāt trust that they wonāt hate him for what he is. And when the voice in his head tells him that heās better off away from them, that they must be plotting against him, because why else would they be talking about him in hushed whispers, it becomes uncomfortably easy to just nod and accept it, to isolate himself more and more.
His questions slowly begin to feel less like genuine concerns and more like taunts, accusations, hitting Luzās insecurities right on their respective nails, but she canāt confront him about them because that means telling the truth to everyone, and he reminds her that ātheyāll hate you for sure; after all, youāve been lying to them for monthsā, so she tells herself itās fine, itās nothing, because heās right, isnāt he?
And then finally, Belos takes over, strong enough now to use him as nothing more than a literal puppet. The guilt as everyone realizes he was right, of course Belos was back, how could they have been so stupid? They knew he was acting strangely, so how did none of them realize what was happening until it was too late?
The desperate struggle as he tries to wrest control of himself away from Belos, to claw and scratch his way to freedom once again, but all he can manage are short, brief bursts of control before heās squashed beneath his thumb yet again, reduced to a mindless puppet for Belos to manipulate because āthatās all youāve ever been, Hunter. Stop trying to change what you areā.
And then the swell of anger and downright self-love as he forces Belos out of his body, regains control of his own self. He tells Belos he refuses to go back, because he knows he has worth, and heās done listening to Belosās lies, and for a few, brief moments, heās finally, finally free.
And when he finally wakes, revived by his first ever friend, he cries. A cathartic, body-wracking screaming sob as he swears heāll make Belos pay for what heās done.
For Flapjack. For Luz and the others. For all the other innocent witches and demons of the Boiling Isles. For Caleb. For the other golden guards, his fellow unwitting pawns in Belosās game.
But most importantly,
for himself.
No because theyāre right. Could have had a whole season going into intricate detail of how this reflects abusers still trying to pull their victim back. Like how you try to get away and cut them off the but the abuser keeps trying to sneak back and manipulate you!
I'll admit- I really wasn't in to the hunter possession thing at first. I thought it was just putting hunter through the ringer AGAIN for no good reason other than to make him cry and as an excuse to merc flapjack. And I couldn't even think of a good reason why they'd do that in the first place.
But, after giving it a second watch (I was watching a very low quality stream when it came out and straight up missed scenes and dialogue) I have begrudgingly come to admit that it works. It's not the direction I would've gone with but it works (LONG thoughts under the cut, but with a TL;DR)
Wait, I just realised something, did Belos plan to bring a Grimwalker back to the human realm as proof of witches? Luz even said só herself that they would just think he was crazy but maybe he had kind of considered that.
Just thinking why Belos still wanted a grimwalkers so close to the day of unity literally just happening.
It's confirmed by Dana herself that Belos really did say "Caleb"!
