For context:
Leo doesn't call him dad. He isn’t really forbidden from that, but it kind of went out of habit for him after he started calling him Master Draxum during training. Draxum never corrected that (although he would probably have done that if he noticed it faster uvu).
Leo, however, still does think of him as dad or even papa (the same way he does for Splinter in the show) and it slips out in moments he isn't fully controlling himself.

Based on a very strange interaction with my sister (I like to do a very slow owl-like head turn to maximize the joke frrr) no I did not pour boiling water into my mouth, but it was smth batshit crazy like that I bet.
I'm not happy with the hair designs but wanted to add something humanely scince compared to the turtle brothers she got human DNA

(talking about the farm house arc tmnt 2012)!!!

there was a paralyzed woman laying half in a swamp, so when misaki (swamp turtle) nibbled on her (cause hungry) she was still alive, and with that the last living being she touched. Though the mutagen got in the swamp and they started fusing/mutating together.
By the time they mutated the woman was already dead though, so misa basically fused with a corpse.
Meaning that swamp turtle just gained more humanly traits and only it's own "soul" remained, but with memories and knowledge of a stranger. So they were completely confused and clueless about all those gained abilities.
Around when Leo was recovering from his injuries and on his way to get better, he started taking walks through the forest
and that's when he met misa
he still struggled a lot to simply walk and eventually would trip and fall down
that's when she showed up right in front of him and genuinely facted with her broken and rough voice :
{"you tripped"}
Leo realized fast that she must be another accidentally mutantion and wanted to back off, but before he could she just grabbed him and put him back up.
Before leo could even say anything she vanished.
He didn't get to mention it to the others after
So he went for another walk
she surprisingly showed up on her own with some berries in her hand, innocently offering them to him while still chewing on some on her own and having them smudged all over her face too, as if she interrupted her meal to rush to him.
After that he would met her many times in the Forest too,
just talking, keeping company and caring for her here and there.
She barely talks full sentences, yet she seems to have the empathy of a child and understands whatever leo tries to tell her.
He tried getting her to the farm house many times before, but she always rejects going that way.
He doesn't exactly know why scince she wouldn't explain herself, but she isn't dangerous and can take care of herself, so he just leaves her be and doesn't tell the others.
Even named her misaki and gave her a cloak to cover
"should be fine like that... right?° "
as he doesn't want her to get mistaken as one of them by some enemies or spreading rumors just by walking around the Forest.
however misaki does whatever she wants, she's impulsive, curious and seems very childish,
until she doesn't.
Cause misa also has a great understanding of her surroundings and acknowledges way more than you would think she does
and her mysterious smile just proofs it
If you take a close look on her actions you can see where she puts her thoughts into,
but there's no point in trying to understand her long terms,
she has her own way of thinking and handling things.
it's really confusing and yet has something lurking.
Leo would vent to her about his issues without ever getting a clear response back, but it still helped him a lot to just have someone listen who's not directly involved in the problem,
which is probably also why he rebelliously didn't tell the others about her.
But she indirectly already messed around with the others,
rage baiting them by throwing pebbles and instigate them against each other whenever they were close to the forest (most likely raph n Casey). or make sure that someone trips into a Puddle when slandering through the forest with little traps (like April).
but not enough to get them suspicious.
(she mostly avoids messing with donnie cause of his great reflexes(?) and mikey cause... mikey, she doesn't want to by found by anyone and is surprisingly careful )
when they head back to new York, leo asked her one last time if she wants to join and come with them, even when it's getting dangerous.
But she just responded with a sudden lick on Leo's forehead.
it followed with one of her strange smiles and then she once again vanished on him, while he was still confusingly rubbing her spit of.
(lol)
after that they didn't meet anymore, but when they put splinters grave next to the farm house she would eventually meal or rest next to it.
truly a strange being.
somewhen after the show ended - she gets kidnapped by Hunters and transported away, scince walking around in the Forest like a Mythical creatures does have it's consequences.
The transporter she was stuck in had to drive through new York to get to it's location and that's around when she managed to free herself and escape.
as she already avoided crowds before she does it here too, she walks around on Roofs, hides and evt steals from Open booths at night etc
there's no doubt that she would dump into one of our turtle brothers at some point.
And it just happened to be....?

I took 2 days drawing the panel I've been avoiding for 3 weeks now
by the time I'm updating either of my fancomics yall already forgot they excited
and I added more to my attack list but only managed to do 1/3 of planned one yesterday +I have the sudden urge to reattack certain people

LORE/SEASON 2 SPOILERS BUT NOT ACTUALLY?: Isaac and Donnie are "dating". Basically, in season 2 is when we meet Casey. Casey likes April, April likes Casey, and Donnie is jealous of this. Isaac, being genuinely infatuated with Donnie, suggests they " pretend date to get April jealous back", which makes Donnie excited - he wants April to like him, afterall. But Isaac ACTUALLY likes Donnie, so seeing April show her appreciation to Donnie in this manner made him a little jealous. Donnie didn't appreciate Isaac's interruption.
