#the worst thing about the whole pete arc was not that it messed with ships (*cough*jack/sam*cough*) because let’s face it we all wanted to see more of sam’s personal life the narrative tried to tell us that he was this really normal and good guy and expected us to like him as such! pete was a fucking horrible manipulator who the hell runs a background check on a person they slept with once when they *know* they work in the military and cannot tell you about their job because it’s FUCKING CONFIDENTIAL he was a cop - he of all people should have understood that but no they paint that as a minor character flaw and pete gets hurt because he fucking followed her and then gets told about the sgc and then he fucking buys a house without telling her about it who does that??? I would have been fine with the pete arc if they had written him as a decent person or even if they had written him as a jackass that isn’t presented as a good guy by the narrative because then we would have been vindicated in our dislike of him and it wouldn’t have sent out this fucking horrible message instead they write this selfish stalkerish jackass but expected everyone to feel for him because he was the regular good guy joe fucking pete! seriously!
