They respond in kind to Skylar, but get distracted slightly when they hear their mother. They don’t bother breaking the kiss, but a series of noises somewhat similar to chirps slip in, muffled by the others lips. Their mother should easily understand that they were requesting their mate, regardless.
“Not to mess with Gabriel’s life,” he huffs, his voice quiet, his whole demeanor exactly the way a petulant child would be after they had gotten in trouble. He glances up when he hears Gabriel makes noise, but looks away quickly when he catches sight of him and Skylar.
His fingers comb through the others hair. The chirps are ignored, his mind too fuzzy to comprehend let alone question their existence.
“And to always listen to your mother,” she added, brown eyes piercing. “Your mate is at home. I thought it best not to deliver him here.” Her tone is a lot lighter as her words were directed toward Gabriel, even with a hint of amusement at the display before her.
Their head rises into the fingers, pressing against them as much as possible. The rise also helps when their mother addresses them, giving them the ability to look over Sky and give her a sad puppy dog eyed look that tries to say ‘Do you have an idea how hard that will be?’.
He can’t stop peeking at Gabe and Skylar. So when his mother addresses him he barely pays attention, but he manages to huff out a “Whatever,” back. He gives her an annoyed look when she speaks to Gabe, getting even more annoyed when he can tell she’s amused.
