Firstly, a bit about me. Call me Apidae. I'm 28, nonbinary, and have been roleplaying for over a decade. I exclusively write third person, past tense, usually about 2-4 paragraphs (3-7 sentences per) but can be as much as the discord limit. I tend to reply as often as I physically can, meaning you'll get about 6 responses a day! I'm a huge fan of ooc chatter and will happily chat when either of us are too busy to roleplay! 

What I expect from a good match:

I write plenty of different genres, some of my favorites are historical romance, high fantasy, and science fiction. But I've of course written things like post-apocalypse, pulp fiction, horror, and thriller. 

Right now, I'm seeking a couple plots that I've been thinking about. These can be plots that I've had prior and done with another person, or things I've never done before. 

1) I would love a bodyguard character to pair against my college aged Mafia heir. He's an asshole who's parents try to keep busy with activities and extracurriculars to keep him out of the clubs and out of the tabloids. 

2) I've been reignited to write a matriarchal arranged marriage where an advisor to the queen of a utopian society travels to a Nordic country to wed an unmarriageable man on the order of her friend, the queen. The full world is matriarchal in this and the men in the Nordic country are raised to be warriors or laborers while the men in the utopian society are much more delicate and raised to be visually pleasing as opposed to physically useful. 

I am also open to your own plots! If you have a historical romance fiction plot I'd love to hear it, provided you like accuracy and research!

I don't do this often, and this is a bit of a long shot. But my best friend is doing everything he can to leave america. He currently is in an ok position, but next year it's all going to go downhill financially. Once he gets to NZ he will have a ton of help (from myself and the program he's in) but he just needs to pay for the visa himself. It's looking like he may not be able to do it. I have secretly started a gofundme to help him out. Absolutely anything helps. He's genuinely the sweetest guy I know. And he's gone through so much awful shit in his life. reading a historical romance novel and reflecting on the way these stories often present woke nobility for the contemporary reader. a big thing is servants. you can’t not have servants in those times but many modern readers think “but I would never have servants. it would be so weird to have servants” and in order to make the protagonists of the story more relatable they are actually friends with the servants. but flip your perspective and think of it from the side of the servants. wouldn’t it be so awful if your boss was always trying to be friends with you. a really common thing you’ll see is the woke baronet having tea in the kitchen with the servants bc he’s not like other baronets. but what if your boss wanted to hang out and talk during your lunch break every day. not so charming when you think about it that way

1) I saw another post made by someone else about this, and reached out to no response. If this is you and you want to write it with me, by all means reach out! This is a fantasy romance wherein a young peasant woman finds an infant abandoned in the woods and takes it in to care for it. She's ostracized for being a single mother, often goes hungry trying to provide for the child, but does whatever she can to give it the best life. They are seen in the city during a trip and a guard recognizes some form of birthmark on the child and they're rushed to the palace where it's discovered that the boy is the son of the emperor and late empress. It will be a court drama in which she struggles to find balance caring for her son while not overstepping or embarrassing him, and a slow burn romance between her and the emperor who does not like her presence initially.

2) This is a dead dove romance between an obsessive god and a person he made immortal long ago. The immortal will also have a human lover and want to be free of the gods influence. I am open to either position, as I have a character for both people. 

I am also open to your own plots, though I'm very picky! I'm happy to hear them.
