We recently visited the Artist Rooms âRobert Mapplethorpeâ at the Clydebank Museum and Art Gallery, then later visited the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
The new exhibition of the Young Curators work up in the activity space at Kirkcaldy Galleries.
Here are a series of portraits of the Young Curatorâs bedrooms. It was inspired by Arbusâ Xmas Tree in a Living Room, Levittown, L. I., 1963, which is in the show at Kirkcaldy Galleries. Like Arbusâ image, we have a very personal insight into the domestic life of our wild Young Curators.
These are some great photographs taken by the Young Curators on Ipad minis using Arbus compositions from the Diane Arbus, Artist Rooms exhibition at Kirkcaldy Galleries.
We have been experimenting with verbal portraits, the aim was to describe the journey the artists eye takes when analyzing the face. An audio drawing.

On Saturday Morwenna from Stills Gallery came to Kirkcaldy Galleries and ran a workshop for the Young Curators based on analogue camera techniques and Arbus' approach. The second phase will be at the end of April and we are looking forward to it!
These awesome pictures of the Young Curators were taken by Andrew Beveridge.
Here is the young curators exhibition, 'Everyday Extraordinary' being installed in The Postings at Kirkcaldy!
Here is the Young Curatorâs show âEverday Extraordinaryâ at the Kirkcaldy Galleries and also their collection of drawings based on the Diane Arbus exhibition.
we went through to Edinburgh to check out various exhibitions and to attend the Roy Lichtenstein Artist Rooms opening at the Modern Art Gallery. It was a great day of art and a wet day of weather, we visited the Stills Gallery, the Fruitmarket and the Portrait Gallery. We also were lucky to meet and speak with the owner of the Artist Rooms collection, Anthony dâOffay who shared with us his views on Arbus.
