So I may or may not have acquired a few outfits from the shop. Imagine my surprise when I get a letter:

To Qing-Feiyan I saw you throwing money around earlier like it was nothing*, like your house is stacked with gold! For someone like you, the Well of Heaven is a perfect fit. I even told the others about you while we were eating, and everyone agreed you should join us. So don't drag your feet---come quick! --- Well of Heaven Letter

* I'll have you know I agonized over this purchase for four days, thank you very little!

Doesn't Well of Heaven "punish" those who spend or make too much? Maybe I'm misremembering... I know I'm a bit biased since Jiang Yan left their sect; feels like a scam, though... But why would it be a scam?

When I was trying to poke around the research notes, not even Veil of Stillness fooled this guy!

This place is beautiful. All the drying herbs and even the eerie mist. Found these while poking around:

Advanced Medical Text

Wish they would actually help with my healing skills... but maybe they're a bit too "advanced" for me at the moment. "Some advanced medical texts that were put aside. Many of them showed signs of being read, and books on fungi and frost-related ailments were heavily annotated. What was extraordinary was that there were three different handwritings, with the names "Sun Yuan" and "Zhu Yu" signs after the first two kinds. The last handwriting did not have a sign, but... You feel like you've seen it before."

I'm not thrilled by the idea of stealing notes, but it's not like I'll find better ones anywhere else. Save for from Sun Buqi's actual "workshop," I suppose. So, hopefully, these will help me get there.

I don't remember what I was even doing back at the brewery. Whatever forgettable reason it was, I'm grateful for it. I could have done without watching them build coffins where there once were only drying flowers and fruit, but... It was night, so, out of morbid self-inflicted melancholy, I wandered in my mask into the brewery grounds. No one was about. I found her treasure map by this chance. Now her special birthday present will never leave my wrist. I miss you, sweet girl. Thanks to you, I found another clue towards Uncle Jiang as well. I don't know that my heart would have had the strength to go back to the hut without your precious treasure map. Now, to go find this Headsman...

Jade Hairpin

A piece of jade was made into a two-prong hairpin. Such craftsmanship could only come from Bianjing. One prong is here. Where is the other? A line from a poem was engraved on the hair pin.

“Becoming intoxicated at Revelry Hall, a smile is better than a hundred pearls.”

The most famous tavern in Kaifeng is Revelry Hall. Could this hairpin be from Revelry Hall? Lady Ugly and Revelry Hall…

It's full of vitality even before it sprouts and grows.

Are they flower seeds? You look at the seeds and suddenly see a majestic Flower Expanse swaying in the wind.

Chu Qingquan

According to a letter I found on the upper levels, Chu possibly fought the Water Lady at Peace Bell Tower.

When I was meeting Tang Xinci for our debate at Peace Bell Tower, I discovered more about the two "immortals" who allegedly fought there. I hadn't thought much of it until that time, but I wondered why this was Tang Xinci's choice location for our debate. The letter alludes to the Water Lady's belongings being located at Blissful Retreat. A scrap of fabric I found had a character on it for whatever reason. It could be the character for "Han," but I also could be biased... "Guilty." Guilty? Guilty of what? And how does this girl [Tian Xinci] expect me to get to the top of this gods forsaken tower?

On my way down, I ran into Feng DaGe! (I remember when he got stuck in a cave trap... I need to find my notes on those contraptions...)

His reassuring words surprised me. After everything, I suppose I needed them.
