The ones that get me in particularly are Carlisle and Smaug.

Carlisle Cullen was a centuries old vampire, and a doctor at that. He has literal centuries to save his wealth, with a particularly high paying job to help him with that. In addition, he was a part of the vampire equavilant of the Italian mafia for a time, which I’m sure didn’t hinder his money-gaining efforts.

Smaug was a dragon. A literal fucking dragon whose main purpose was to hoard wealth.

The authors of these two characters alone purposefully set high fortunes for these characters, and even they couldn’t imagine high enough to match real-world billionares with so much money they could solve world hunger several times over, and get they still keep saving, despite the fact that they will never possibly be able to spend all of that money.
