So I guess it's time I talked about my Warhammer 40K fics. Or, as I like to call it—the Expanded Ellasar Universe (lol).
Most of them center around my Aeldari OC, Ellasar Gemflower, from the homebrew craftworld Eola. Other recurring characters include Althea, a Sister of Battle; Vaedhir, a Drukhari Archon with control issues; and Thalynrae, a Howling Banshee.
The Current Works (more incoming probably):
Bound in Chains and Shadows The OG. The longfic (but still under 100k). The one that started it all. Ellasar's time in Commorragh—starts as psychological horror with a hint of dark romance, then veers into yuri, revenge, and slow healing. Expect mind games, trauma, manipulation, and maybe a little too much of "the writer's barely disguised fetish". Surprisingly little smut though, because turns out I'm bad at writing it.
On the Path of War A sequel-ish work. Ellasar's time as a Howling Banshee. Mostly self-contained one-shot stories, no overarching plotline planned at this point. It's WIP(Because I feel like there're more stories to tell) and also "Completed"(Because currently I've run out of ideas).
Without You The epilogue. Set long after the longfic, quiet and soft. Althea's time is ending, and Ellasar is left to carry on alone. Possibly the gentlest thing I've written. No horror, just ache.
The Light She Left Behind
A side-story focused on Kinshar, the Chief Farseer of Eola. It takes place across and beyond the events of Bound in Chains and Shadows, On the Path of War, and Without You—so in a way, it’s a sequel to all of them. Definitely not grimdark by 40k standards.
It started with a vision he didn’t understand, and a choice he almost didn’t make. It ends… much later.
Rise of Vaedhir / Fall of Althea Two short prequels.
Rise of Vaedhir explores how a neglected child became the Archon.
Fall of Althea shows how a captured sister broke and became the servant we see at the start of the longfic.
Bloom in Toxin and Iron A bad end AU of the longfic. Psychological horror dressed in soft lighting and affection. Unsettling, but in a "what if this were comfort?" way.
Wither in Blood and Honey A darker reimagining of the original fic. If Bloom is "hauntingly sweet," this one is just haunting. Probably the most disturbing thing I've written. Only half-jokingly tagged should not be read by anyone. [CW-heavy.]
Shine in Silence and Flame Another AU. A more "innocent" Vaedhir, and a lighter tone overall. Sort of a dark romantic comedy. Still morally sketchy, because—well, it's about loving a Drukhari.
How to Raise Your Exodita Sororita Crackfic. Althea crash-lands on a maiden world and is adopted by Ellasar and Thalynrae. Pure chaos.
Echoes of Fate A one-shot AU. Ellasar is captured by the Imperium, interrogated by Althea. No romance, just grimdark: ideology clashes, Aeldari prophecy nonsense, and how fate screws over everyone.
One thing I'm kind of proud of: Ellasar stays recognizably herself across all these fics.
