They do some of my favorite Marvel patterns that involve quotes from the MCU integrated with the logo of the different MCU superheroes. For every $30.00 pledged towards this auction, I will cross stitch one of their 7" x 7" quote patterns. So anything from $31 to $60 gets you two of the 7" x 7" patterns, so on and so forth. I will provide the matboard cut to 12" x 12" to match the pattern but will not provide a frame as those tend to not ship well. If you are within the US, I will pay for shipping. Hey y'all! I'm not on Tumblr as often (life, ya know?) but I did want to hop on and say I'm doing cross stitch for MTH again this year. If you want something that I've stitched and that is related to the MCU, take a look!

I also need to post some updates, including my 2022 MTH auction stitches! One is finished and one is just about finished. Wish I had all the time in the world to do more stitches, but life threw us some curveballs this last year. At this point, stitching mostly Bucky Barnes and some Steve Rogers is what keeps me sane.

My MTH 2021 auctions are finally done with this piece! My auction winner was patient with me and I'm very appreciative. This version of cross stitch Bucky / Winter Soldier is being retired. On to other versions.

First MTH fill for 2021! Alpine draped over the Winter Soldier logo. The logo is stitched in sparkly threads to mimic the metal of Bucky's arm and I hand-dyed some Aida fabric to make it that dark grey color. I had a lot of fun with this one and my winning bidder wanted it to be a surprise so she didn't know how it would look or how big it was until she received it this week. I can't wait to see how she has it framed!

Question, mostly for your followers Joy. Has anyone had their period fucked up the month AFTER the booster? I have an IUD and haven’t got a period in two years, but I got my booster almost exactly a month ago and my uterus is fuckin’ PISSED about it this week… wondering if anyone has had a similar experience, or if I need to seek a medical professional?

Sorry to hear you're going through that! I will open this up to my followers at large, but I'll also chime in to say after all of my shots, my menstrual cycle has gone bananas. Like, needed iron supplements bananas. I've also read a lot about people experiencing bad/heavy cycles after the booster or their usually regular cycle going missing.

I'd still recommend talking to your doctor if you're worried, and or it keeps up for long--especially if anemia is a concern. It never hurts to be certain (though I know depending on where you are, financially that may not be accurate!)

My Mum is a vaccinator and this is not a symptom they are told to mention, or even one they're told about themselves, which is weird because it does seem to happen to quite a significant number of people (at least anecdotally - by which I mean I haven't seen studies on it). But I was telling her about it and she said it wasn't mentioned in the documentation they're given.

So yeah, people aren't forewarned or given advice about what to do or when to seek medical help.

These are Pfizer vaccines though, and maybe the menstrual bleeding symptoms are only with the other one? I don't know.

I have an IUD, I have the Pfizer and in the months following all three shots have had more bleeding (usually have little to none with the IUD) and cramping than I normally do (got my first IUD 7ish years ago).

As an introvert, I am 100% able to turn on my personality when I have to be around people. I actually do this quite well at conventions where it is literally my job to shepherd attendees to all their things and answer questions and help arrange schedules and stuff. I couldn't do that if I didn't know how to people.

But damn it, give me the wall every time when it's down to those three options.

I know.

I know my mother and father were both abused by their parents and that they didn't deserve it.

I also know that it's not my job to care.

And that sounds really callous, but here's the thing: it was their job to break that cycle. It is every generation's job to be better than the generation before that and my parents couldn't be arsed to do the work. My job now is to heal myself. My job is not to heal them. That was their job, and they didn't give enough shits to do it. So I'm doing it myself now.

Yesterday my pizza order got to me cold and missing my soda. When I asked about both from the driver he said he couldn’t go back for the 2L because he was technically a door dash driver. I called the store and it turns out when they’re slammed (which they had been), they get door dash drivers to help with delivery to help them catch up.

So I spoke to the manager, assured her that I wasn’t angry, just kind of frustrated - part of why the pizza was cold was that door dash drivers don’t have the heat retaining delivery bags the actual delivery employees of the pizza place get, and because he wasn’t an employee of the pizza place the driver wouldn’t be going back to the pizza place and couldn’t get my soda.

And the manager said she’d get her first driver going in my direction to bring by the soda, and offered to give me a credit for the pizza being cold, and we pleasantly ended the conversation.

Because it’s okay to say “hey, this isn’t what I was told I’d be getting”, you just have to be polite and reasonable about it.

What's that saying about catching things with honey? I can't remember and I'm too distracted to go look it up.

I used to work in customer service and I would take the supervisor calls. I loved and hated them. I hated having to talk to angry people who were just frustrated but didn't know how to channel that frustration into being polite yet firm and I loved it because the meaner you were to me, the less I would do for you. If I got a supervisor call where the person was polite, I would bend over backwards to help that person. I had the ability to make overrides. The customer service reps did not. So be nice to me and I'll get your check out tomorrow. Be mean and don't listen when I ask you to calm down and I'll get your check out within 5-7 business days.
