The 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus just occurred earlier this week. To commemorate its bicentennial, the classic horror novel is receiving a new edition.
The 200th anniversary edition of Frankenstein will be released on January 16 as part of Rockport Publishers’ Classics Reimagined series. The 248-page book is illustrated by David Plunkert. It can be pre-ordered for $16.51 on Amazon.
In addition to the unabridged novel, the hardcover book features an 8-page vellum insert detailing the doctor’s designs and a double-gatefold image of the monster. It is finished with printed endpapers and painted book block.
