i realised recently that mindlessly scrolling through instagram to avoid awkward situations where I have nothing to do and don’t want to talk to anyone is feeding my anxiety. Doing this when I’m waiting for my coffee to take away in the morning leaves me less present and less grounded. It stops me from noticing more about my surroundings and stops me from sitting with my own thoughts. Stop mindlessly scrolling, just sit and do nothing. It’s okay to be bored, you don’t have to always be doing something. Look up.
