“I spent days thinking that you weren’t interested in me.” Sana said, eyes darting everywhere but at his face. A tinge of pink dusted her cheeks and it randomly reminded Mark of cotton candies.

Mark placed his palm on his forehead. Was it a sign of frustration or a sign of relief? Sana couldn’t tell anymore. Slowly, he closed the gap between them and gently laid his head on her shoulder. He finally let out the smile he’s been hiding. 

“It’s always been you.” He said, whispering against her skin. And although his breath felt warm, she felt a shiver run down her spine.

He raised his head and Sana noticed how close their faces were. If he made any movement, even just a fraction of a movement, his lips would’ve touched hers. 

“Can we?” Mark said, so low that Sana wasn’t sure if she heard it.

“Yeah-” she sighed, his mouth already brushing against hers.
