“What does it feel to be on those Oscar lists?” It doesn’t feel like my life. My heart still flutters when I land in L.A. — and this is my tenth trip here this year. It still has a kind of twilight, heady magic to it. It still feels like something very far away.

Well said.
It rarely snows in London. Even more rarely the snow succeeds in not melting at the same moment it had barely touched old roofs, grey pavement stones and still sort of green-ish grass. It probably has never been snowing in London on the first day of winter. And if right now the snow is dancing above the streets, already decorated for Christmas, and magically not falling into a cup of hot cacao in angel’s hands, it has nothing to do with any kind of little demonic miracles. But sure it was worth it.
