There’s a tiny little town in East Minnesota, it’s called Halley Port. Established in 1835 Halley Port has a history of rich oyster and sea bass fishing and has always been a tight-nit community. Voted the friendliest community three years in a row back in the 1990’s, the people of Halley Port all know each other and are friendly with everyone they meet. There aren’t any secrets between the people and everyone knows pretty much everything about everyone’s business. But things aren’t as the facts suggest. Hi, my name is Emma Baine. I was 18 years old in August and I attended Halley Port High School. I was recently accepted into Jacksonville University to study Art and Design. I lived with my mother, father, and little sister. I played soccer and was class president in middle school. I had a close group of friends and talked to almost everyone in the town. Lucy Smith | 25 | FC: Zooey Deschanel | The Other Smith | OPEN

Personality:- Lucy is the youngest of three Smith siblings that grew up in Halley Port, though only two still live in town. Her and her brother, Greg, were always close as children and they still remain just as close. Especially now that she has her niece in town; Lucy is very family oriented. No matter what she'll always be behind her family. Even with the rumors going around about what her brother does with his students, she still stands by him. She's a kind soul but still very honest. Not that she always means to be, it just comes out sometimes before she can stop it. Like her brother, she's always wanted to become a teacher and is currently in training to be an English teacher. She lives alone, not all that far from Greg which is how it's always been. She also doesn't let anyone faze her easily. Despite the amount of different personalities in town and the so called 'social ladder', she likes to be her own person and just go her own path. She laughs at the high school hierarchy more than anything. But like the rest of her family, she has a temper. The temper runs in her family; but she's actually the only one that's bipolar. She doesn't tend to take anything she does or says too seriously though- she likes to laugh it off. 

Relationship with Emma:- Lucy and Emma never really had any kind of confrontation. The only time they've spoken was when Lucy questioned Emma about her relationship with Greg. Emma wasn't willing to talk about it and just ran off to avoid answering her questions. That was the last time the two spoke.

Graham Wills | 27 | FC: Joesph Gordon-Levitt | Kind Stranger | OPEN

Personality:- As a person, Graham is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He owns the local bar near the town hall and is constantly working. Either it be serving drinks or just generally handing out advice to the people that decide to drown their sorrows in his bar, he's always willing to help. A couple of years ago he was working late in his bar when a woman came in. This woman was in quite a bad state after a break up; naturally Graham tried to help her. After she got too comfortable with him she tried to come onto him but he instantly knocked her back and helped her get a cab home. But once he got himself home to his wife, all the signs were there of him cheating. Lipstick on his collar, shirt wrinkled and even the smell of her perfume. Of course, his wife didn't believe his story and left that night, taking their five year old daughter with her. He hasn't seen either of them since and his divorce was recently finalized. Since the finalized papers came through he's not quite been himself. He misses his wife, misses his daughter and works 24/7 to keep his mind off of the pain he's really feeling. One day he might find a way to push past the constant heartache and be happy. Maybe.

Relationship with Emma:- Quite a few times Emma went to see Graham for advice. She would sit at the end of the bar, soda in hand and they would talk for hours about the stuff that was bothering her. But once the trouble with his wife and divorce started, he was never able to comfort her the same way again. The last time they spoke he ended up snapping and yelled at her to just leave. So that's exactly what she did.

'You scared me that night, like really scared me. Even the last person I could talk to didn't want me around. How do you think that felt from my point of view?'

Bass annual post-Halloween party.

It's that time of year again, when the whole town turns into a true ghost town and the residents become members of the undead. Tonight the annual post-Halloween party will be held at the Bass mansion. All you need is to bring yourself and your costume; costume is a must to make this a true night of horrors and mystery. You never know who could be lurking in the shadows.

Sophia Parigi | 18 | FC: Shay Mitchell  | The IT girl | OPEN

Personality:- Born of a Canadian mother and Italian father, it's no wondering which side of the family Sophia gets her name from. Sophia is a naturally gorgeous, kind hearted and free spirited girl. Most girls around want to be her, most guys want to be with her; she's quite the full package. She lives in one of the nicest homes in town and it's right beside the Watson residents. That should explain why her and Emily Watson always had a small friendship.  She doesn't exactly agree with Emily's choice of friends, nor does she agree with some of her actions, but she brushes that aside to say hi every now and then. To the naked eye, Sophia is absolutely perfect. But she doesn't think so. Every morning she goes out for a run, she joins in with several sports teams, goes to the gym every Sunday morning and previously struggled with self harming. The sad part is she never told anyone. She has a lot of friends, but none that she feels close enough to for her to be able to tell her deepest secrets. Not yet anyway.

Relationship with Emma:- Sophia and Emma rarely ever spoke, but Emma did look up to her. It wasn't that Sophia ignored her, Emma never made herself known. She always wanted to but she got lost in the mix of things.

Taylor Halliday | 18 | FC:  Phoebe Tonkin  | Childhood bestfriend | OPEN

Personality:- Taylor is pretty laid back, if you don’t annoy her. She’s one of the most mature students at Halley Port High. And being in her last year, she sees it as an opportunity to set all of the younger students straight. She can be violent, and most defiantly wont take any petty crap from anyone. She can be nice when you manage to break down her walls. But until then, she guards herself well. She isn’t the most well off person in Halley Port, and nor does she care. She just wants to get High School over and down with before she ends up breaking a cheerleader’s preppy neck. She’s that kind of girl that doesn’t care what anyone thinks of her and is almost admired for it. She has a selection of friends in Halley Port and will do anything to stand up for them. If you manage to get close enough, she’ll show you her loving, caring side. But any other time, she wont hesitate to bite your head off if needs be.

Relationship with Emma:- Believe it or not, Emma and Taylor were childhood best friends. Always having living next to each other, playing together, sharing secrets. That was until freshman yeah in High School. That’s when it changed. Emma became one of them, those girls that Taylor hates. That was when she began to hate Emma too. They never spoke again. The odd glance in the corridor would be exchanged, but never a word spoken.

‘I really missed you, Tay. I did. But I’m not sorry for not wanting to be at the bottom of the school’s food chain.’

Dr. Liam Murphy | 28 | FC: Daniel Gillies | Loving Doctor | OPEN

Personality:- Liam works day in, day out at Halley Port general hospital. He's even on call 24 hours of the day. Being the doctor he is, he really does care and want to look after people. He lives alone having never been married; this is mainly because he's a very career focused man. But that doesn't mean he hasn't thought about it. He's always wanted a family of his own, to settle down and be happy. The right chance just hasn't turned up yet. He's studying to become a full time surgeon at the moment, while still carrying out his doctor work. He's also very well known around the town for his charm and very handsome good looks. But if you were to ask, he would claim to not know of the amount of female attention he gets. That's because he really doesn't see it. He's quite blind to his good looks, which are very obvious to everyone else. That's just him though. The modest Dr. Murphy, always wanting to help.

Relationship with Emma:- One night in February, Emma took herself to Liam's house in the middle of the night to look for help. She had cut herself, and bad. So bad that she couldn't get the blood to stop and she knew she needed someone to help her. Of course, Liam helped her right away but he never took it any further than that. Never told anyone when he should have, because she begged him for around an hour to not tell anyone. So he didn't. She never got the help she needed.

Harry Gates | 15 | FC: Cody Simpson | Disapproved | OPEN

Personality:- There isn't a student in Halley Port High school that doesn't know the name Harry Gates. If Candice is the 'it' girl. He's the 'it' boy and he knows it. He's the captain, quarter back of the football team and openly sings and plays guitar all over the place. Naturally, girls swam over him only adding to his ever increasing ego. Harry is pompous, full of himself and honestly thinks there's no one as good as him. Which is exactly why he was so surprised when Miss Lizzie Baine turned him down, even more surprised when he found out she turned him down because her big sister Emma didn't like him. At home he's king in a big mansion and staff to clean and cook he is well and truly spoilt, actually it's not surprising he acts the way he acts, but what will he do to win the heart of Little Miss Baine?

Relationship with Emma:-  The pair never spoke, they were in completely different grades and never had a reason to speak. But Harry's reputation wasn't a secret when Lizzie told Emma that he asked her out she was quick to say it was a bad idea. Emma was conscious that he was rich, pompous and so probably a player so told Lizzie to stay away from him.

Maria Lockheart| 17 | FC: Holland Roden | Fiery red head | OPEN

Personality:- Maria really is the definition of a fiery red head. She's beautiful, smart, passionate and likes to make a goal and stick to it. Her school grades are flawless, she's popular and has quite the perfect High School life. The one thing that makes her stand out, apart from her fiery red hair, she got her place in the High School hierarchy not by kissing up to the HBIC. She made her own way there. People like her attitude and flair. She's not as stuck up as you'd expect, but she doesn't go for boyfriend's either. She'll admire from afar, but it would have to be someone special before she would take time out of her busy schedule to date them.

Relationship with Emma:- Maria and Emma were best friends in the sandbox. As time passed, their friendship slipped away; but only slightly. They were still friends in High School and Maria promised to use her popularity to shelter Emma from the evil eyes of the other girl's at school. Only she never did. Maria got so wrapped up in her grades and her teen life that she forgot to wrap Emma in cotton wool like she promised.

Davis Monroe | 18 | FC: Nathaniel Buzolic | Guarded Aussie | OPEN

Personality:- New to town, Davis is as guarded as they come. He moved here from Australia with his family, trying to get a taste of life in a small town. He plays the 'big guy on campus' role well, but he's not. He doesn't really hold much of a conversation with other guys because he feels like they're just out to judge him. When it comes to girls, he likes it when they fall at his feet. Not that he does anything about it, he's never had a girlfriend before; which is surprising when you see how good looking he is. He's had plenty of one night stands sure. But an actual girlfriend? No, he'd rather not. He had his heart on lock down and knows just how easy it can be broken. After all, he breaks enough girls hearts to know how it is. He's not all that bad really, just likes to keep a barrier around himself when it comes to other people. But when you're this good looking and popular, who needs real friends? Maybe moving to Halley Port will show him exactly how much he really does.

Relationship with Emma:-Davis didn't know Emma at all, having just moved to town and all. But during his stay here he'll be sure to hear about her more than once, learn her story and hopefully use it as a life lesson rather than follow her path.

Simon Barnes | 19 | FC: Liam Hemsworth | The Protector | OPEN

Personality: Being her older brother, Simon was always very overprotective when it came to Jessica. Many other siblings could be jealous of the relationship these two had. They told each other everything, they were always there when the other one needed them. At least that’s how it used to be. But lately, Simon noticed Jessica changed and stopped telling him things; actually she doesn’t speak with him much anymore. He is afraid that somebody hurt his little sister and if he’d ever find out what happened, he could kill them. He is generally a nice guy, talkative and a member of the basketball team, but when it comes to Jessica, he would be able to set a place on fire for her.

Relationship with Emma: Emma always admired Simon’s and Jessica’s relationship. Wishing her and Lizzie had a similar one. The two never really came into contact except when she cheered for the basketball team. Even then it was mostly small talk. When Emma witnessed the rape all she could think about was Simon and what he would do wishing she had the courage and selflessness’ he had. Afterwards she avoided talking to him at all costs. She just couldn’t handle the guilt

Personality:- Barry is described as sarcastic, condescending, and emotionless. All of these are far, far, far from the truth. The truth is, he's just a businessman. And his business needs a guy who acts like that to stay on top. Being the owner of the Gentlemen's Club with Javier as your employee means that you do have to be mean and condescending. On the inside, outside of his business mode he's actually a really nice and sweet and his son means the world to him and he'd literally do anything for him

Relationship with Emma:- Barry wanted Emma to work for him, and he really wanted it. He asked her a million times to come and work for him but she always declined. Now she's dead he feels empty about it, he felt like he bonded with the girl over the constant pestering and now she's gone it's like his whole goal has disappeared. Barry hasn't been in his office for months, lost in what to do now

Ella Healey | 19 | FC: Naya Rivera | The Runaway Lesbian | TAKEN

Personality:- Ella is one of the most bad-ass girls you will ever meet. Most people fear her because she is the only person in the whole of Halley Port that says exactly what she thinks all of the time, and most of the time she's bad mouthing you. People think she's a complete bitch but what people don't knwo is she's just protecting herself. She doesn't want Candice and her cheerleading buddies to find out that her and her best friend Hannah are in a relationship, fully in love, and planning to runaway together after highschool to get married, not that her paretns know, they would never approve of their daughter being a lesbian. Hannah is everything to Ella and she'd literally do anything for her.

Relationship with Emma:- Like the cheerleaders Ella did pick on Emma a lot, but Emma never really felt victimised by her because, quite frankly, she acts that way with everyone. However Ella is a reason why Emma killed herself. Because Emma walked in on Ella and Hannah at a party one night. Furious, Ella threathened her, but Emma never really took it seriously, but with everything going on. Emma figured Ella and Hannah would prefer it if Emma wasn't around to blab about them. Not that she ever would.

Lloyd Silverberg | 17 | FC: Hunter Parrish | Katie’s Brother |OPEN

Personality:- Lloyd is a real sweetheart. He gets amazing grades in school, is super sweet, adorable and gets on with everyone. Sounds perfect right? Wrong. He has a major drug problem that only his sister, Katie, knows about. He wants to stop, he wants to quit and just get on with his life and work hard. But, he just simply doesn’t have the strength. But if you push his major drug addiction aside, he’s a really nice guy. He plays basketball, by choice. Unlike most guys a school, basketball wasn’t a second choice from football. He loves it, and has a real passion for the sport. In the future, he wants to get out of Halley Port, move to New York and become lawyer. That’s why he wants to kick the addiction of his. But until he can get to NYC, he has his music and loves it.

Relationship with Emma:- Lloyd and Emma use to be really good friends. In fact, they had a small relationship just over a year ago. But when Lloyd got onto the drugs he began to push her away. She tried to help him on more than one occasion, but he wouldn’t have any of it. She didn’t discover what was wrong with him, just had the idea that it was drugs. Before all of the drama, they had a very positive relationship and were very much smitten with one another. After the drugs, they really drifted apart and became strangers.

Josh Diggs | 23 | FC: Tyler Hoechlin | The One Night Stand | OPEN

Personality:- Josh is a bachelor and an old favourite with the ladies of Halley Port. In high-school he skipped his way through the cheer-leading squad effortlessly throughout the years. He’s still invited to all the parties and provides booze, drugs, you name it. He’s real sweet to every girl he comes across and makes a pride statement to every guy, making sure they know who the man is. He never really grew up, still lives with his mom and dad and works at the local gas station. But soon he’s going to have to. Josh is a real cool guy some people would call it ‘swag.’ They also say that boys have swag and gentlemen have class. 

Relationship with Emma:- Josh and Emma were always pretty good friends but more recently Emma had turned to Josh more and more, wanting to feel loved. Josh never really thought about it and just enjoyed the affection of the beautiful young cheer-leader. He unknowingly pushed Emma over the edge by getting her pregnant. He never knew but he’ll find out when Emma’s post-mortem is released.

Dylan Yeater | 18 | FC: Colton Haynes | The Hot and Not List | OPEN

Personality:- Dylan Yeater is one of the stealthiest, sneakiest boy you will meet. He even has his own way of getting exactly what he wants and always gets it. It’s mainly girls, but he has the power to get anyone to do exactly what he wants. It’s obvious that by looking at him he is the man around town. Plays for the football team, girls falling all over him. He’ll go out them, make out with them and even sleep with them. But he doesn’t date or go into relationships. In fact, he doesn’t believe in feelings or love at all. He has quite an attitude and things quick when it comes to people insulting him. It’d take someone pretty special to even try and change that.

Relationship with Emma:- The week that Emma killed herself, the football team thought it would be fun to make a ‘Hot and Not’ list about all of the school’s girls. Of course, the usual popular girls were on the hot list. But poor Emma was at the top of the not list. This list was posted all around school, slipped into lockers and passed around to every pupil. One of the people involved in making this list was Will.
