Good evening friends, florets, and those yet to be sorted into one of those categories! I'm Piper, your favorite cryptid, and I am so delighted that you decided to come here, of all places, and check out my work! I'm always writing something new to share, and I'd be so delighted if you'd take a look!

So, a few things about me!~ First of all, the obvious, my name is Piper! It's a newer name I'm trying out, but I also go by Sam! I'm a trans woman in my early twenties, and I've been writing for as long as I can remember. What better place to share than this blog?

So, then, my darlings! Let's talk fandom. A lot of my stuff is original, but similarly, a great chunk of it is going to be centered around the Human Domestication Guide! If you don't know what that is, there is a very lovely wiki for the subject. Beyond that, some fandoms that'll always get me talkin, if nothing else:

Undertale and Deltarune are, obviously, some of my favorites, and I've contributed some amount to the theorizing around the two.

I avidly play XCOM 2 - And am working on chunking through a Legendary-difficulty run on the Long War Of The Chosen modpack. It's grueling, but spectacular!

I'm a fan of lighthearted media - Amphibia, The Owl House, etc. No, I will not write NSFW content of it, but I enjoy talking about it, so do ask any questions you have!

Hollow Knight and Silksong are my beloveds. Hornet can do no wrong. SHAW!!!!

you know how some animals can hypnotize their prey? like cuttlefish? I'm thinking about that. like, running for ages and finally being cornered. nowhere to go. waiting for them to attack, and then all of a sudden there's these pretty flashing lights (or a different flavor of hypnosis I'm just thinking about cuttlefish). you're so caught off guard you're completely disarmed and the lights are so pretty that you don't even think to look away. then they purr at you "that's right, keep looking. you're so exhausted from how much running you did, aren't you? sooooo tired. that's all okay now. you're not running anymore. you don't have to run anymore. just relax" and you stare and nod because they're right, you're so tired and you don't have to run anymore. you can relax. you should just listen to the bigger, stronger animal in the room. smarter too. they caught you, so they must be smarter than you. so much smarter. it's not safe for dumb little prey like you to be wandering all by yourself. no, you need someone big and strong and smart like them to take good care of your dumb weak little prey brain. they offer to take you back to their den and you smile and nod. they're so kind to take in such a weak, dumb prey animal like you. they'll take good care of you. and you'll get to stare at their pretty lights as much as you want

i dreamt i worked in a video game store and we had a pet Eevee (desexed) in the store as a mascot. Unfortunately, another store in the shopping centre had a Glaceon (not desexed) as a mascot and during mating season my job was to stand guard and wait for that Glaceon in heat to come sprinting in and either punt it or smack it with a broom or otherwise it would fuck our Eevee to death (And freeze her fatally)

I think my friends don't understand this is precisely why I love HDG so much, when constantly throughout my whole life one of my absolutely biggest struggles was thinking I'm too much for people, that I'm too high maintenance, that in order to be worth love and kindness I need to dedicate my entire existence to helping and serving others. For this setting to come in and sit me doen and say to my face "You do not have to keeo fighting to be worth love and kindness and help yourself. You deserve all those things by virtue of existing" it hit me in a way nothing else has
