World Celebration Week

The world is divided on many areas of life. A major aspect being culture. Culture is a part of every humans life yet so many people can’t seem to accept that their are others out there. However, what if instead of drawing the line between cultures, we encouraged them to blend?

My proposal: a World Celebration Week.

1. Everyone shares aspects of their culture

This includes food, outfits, songs, dances, etc. Instead of “cultural appropriation” its “cultural appreciation”.

2. Parades

In major cities of each country there’s a parade for every type of culture. There’s Indian, African, French, Mexican, Russian, Chinese, American, Brazilian, Greek, etc. where each culture presents itself with music and dances.

3. Decoration

We’ll use New York City for example, but imagine all of fifth street decorated in Chinese traditional decor, Central Park is dedicated to the African Culture, the Statue of Liberty is decorated with American culture, etc.

Rough idea but I think it would be a really nice way to unite the people of the world.

Pride and Prejudice

This is my favorite movie. I could watch it all day, everyday, and I pretty much already do. It’s the best period film in my opinion. If you appreciate cinematography I highly recommend this film.

I haven’t laughed harder since I first saw this. It’s hilarious, puzzling, and genius. Best comedy by far and one of my most favorite movies ever.

Best Disney live action in my opinion. I really love how it compliments the old film but brings life to it in a delightful way.

Audrey Hepburn is one of my most favorite actresses. Her films are iconic in every way, but Sabrina really captures everything I love about her.

Gorgeous, moving, incredible in every way. I’m in awe everytime I finish it. One of the best musical movies by far.

Phantom of the Opera

Another musical! Completely different!! I love love love this film, it’s something I’ve loved since I was a child. Just stick through the first 5 minutes ;)

Remember me

Ok this isn’t one of my favorite films, but it hit so hard that I couldn’t stop crying. By far one of the saddest movies I’ve ever watched, because of one single scene. I never saw it coming.

Chest pain and Anxiety

I was having horrible chest pain and it honestly felt like something was wrong. I went to get an EKG and everything was normal, but the pain spread to my arm and right side of my chest. It felt so sharp and electric, I found it hard to move on with my life. I was consumed by fear that something bad was happening.

I found a small lump on my left breast bone and decided to search it up. Turns out, all my symptoms fell under Costochondritis!

What is Costochondritis?

Costochondritis is chest pain that can happen because of anxiety/intense stress! It often resembles feelings of a heart attack but has no ill intent, it just hurts really bad! I was so relieved to find this.

You can research it if you’d like more information, but basically the symptoms will probably last a few weeks to a year and it’s common in children and teenagers. (This is all surface info. I suggest you looking it up if you think this is what you’re having ;))

So if you experience:

Sharp or dull pain in chest

Pain in fourth fifth and sixth ribs

Pain in your back and arms

Pain in both left and right side of chest

Heart palpitations

Pain when lying down

And maybe a small lump developing on ur sternum

You might have costochondritis!

To relieve this, I’ve found it most helpful to

Drink really cold water

Stretch out your arms

And listen to mindfulness meditation (even though deep breathing might make the pain worse it helps ur anxiety)
