After a long ass wait I have finally redesigned the brothers! A lot of small quirks were inspired by my friend @new-tella-us and I am really loving how manny small traits we shared with each other.
Much like Tella I tried to make the guys look related. It was hard but eventually I found a happy medium. I ended up giving each brother Red in their eyes to point to their brutish roots. Next I made them all have similar eye shapes. Matthew and Erik being the standouts since they got their eyes from their moms. And giving them similar nose shapes to. Next was adding my Achilles heel FRECKLES. I’m sorry i can’t resist it, so yeah they all have freckles with Erik’s being the hardest to spot. That’s the general things, now I’ll go one by one with the little details.
He has some grey in his hair from the stress of being the crowned prince, and the “dad” of four younger brothers. He also has some facial hair now! This man is tried constantly as is seen by the wrinkles near his eyes. James also has brown eyes now that match Damien’s. He has a scar that goes over his right shoulder. He got this scar from defending Sam protecting Damien against his father. It was the first and last scar James ever received.
He has one scar that runs over his hidden eye. How he got this scar? During a raid against the castle. After this he developed his tentacles for long ranged attacks after his mother yelled at him for “getting damaged.” I also made him a Selkie, in my AU Selkies are a group of Dream Stalker demons that lived a life of peace and neutrality. That was until they started getting hunted to stop soul eaters from forming. So the few Dream Stalker left went into hiding, living near an Animal Demon village. To protect themselves the Dream stalkers refrained from entering the dreams of those near by…but eventually it would weigh on them and there magic would start to fade they would start to fade. Soon enough they would start to grow desperate, slaughtering the Animal demons near by for their souls until- one of them realized that magic still clung to the dead bodies. It was then found that they could connect themselves to the Animal Demons dying souls. And if they wore their skin they would be able to shift into the animal essence of that demon. Thus the first silkies were born. Erik has his own coat as well, it was a coming of age for his people, one he did not want to take part in. His mother forced him however. Locking him in the cell of a Seal child, and even as his very soul begged him to take her skin for his own. He couldn’t, he refused. Being so close to a skin that could be his began to take a toll on his body, he grew weaker and his magic started to fade…for you see the Selkies grew unable to live without there skins. with there off spring facing the same fate. Erik would die, but the seal seeing how much he tried to fight for her to live…she understood this was where her life would end. And soon she ended her own life allowing Erik to take her skin and make it into a coat.
Erik will forever live with this guilt, that he wasn’t strong enough to fight against his instincts. The coat on his shoulders always far far too heavy.
I gave him a Mohawk mullet more or less cause I thought that looked cool and fit him more. He also has that same Dog tag he gets from Gaku that has the first letter of his brother’s true names on it R.U.Z.I. Sam also runs very hot like most brute demons do. The more anger you feed on the hotter your body gets. So even though Sam dose not have as much access to rage energy as in the demon world. Bro is still hot ALL THE TIME. Hence why he wares nothing but a vest and some shorts. He literally can not get cold. I also gave Sam some mutton chops and some scruff on his chin.
This man has so manny scars-let’s start with the one across his face. He gets it during the same Raid that Erik lost his eye. Sam went ballistic when he saw Erik hurt and also ended up getting himself hurt to.
The lighting strike was when he was tied to a pole during a lighting storm as punishment for disobeying the Demon Lord.
The trident scars along his stomach was from Erik being forced to punish him with his Mothers old Trident, after he roughed around with Erik to much and she saw.
The large scar up his left arm is from some kidnappers trying to torture him.
And the scars on his legs are from him loosing a fight in the gladiator pit, a demon bit him.
This silly guy has a few scars of his own, the one on his cheek that he got from some servants picking on his small size. And then the rope scars on his neck, wrists, and ankles that he got from trying to teach Damien how to read. He was strung up in the dungeons for weeks. He also has a scar on his back from trying to create an object that was to large and complicated this stress manifested in his back tearing open. Oh And He has some small scruff on his chin as well.
No surprise I took some of Tellas ideas and applied them. Damien’s natural hair color is black now! But he dyes his hair a lighter orange to honor Erik, with some yellow at the tips to honor his mother. He keeps his roots visible for Matthew. He has a scar across his face that he hides with his hair, and whip scars on his back. He’s a little malnourished but slowly getting healthy again.
