after the huge success of "thats so true" gracie couldve gone down the typical industry route (or dare i say the sabrina carpenter route) and made an upbeat pop album with generic relatable lyrics to expand her popularity, but instead she made a much quieter, personal record that the general audience is bound not to be a huge fan of. and you know what, i really respect her for that.

also after a bunch of listens and letting the album fully sink in i have to say i absolutely love it

when i first listened to it i thought it all sounded the same (which i think is the prevailing opinion from critics), but after listening to it multiple times you appreciate the soft and quiet beauty of both the music and the lyrics

and her vocal delivery is notably much better too

it also helps that i am a sucker for anything produced by aaron dessner, but i genuinely love every song on this album
