"You know. Just passing through town and doing some business." A nervous laughter escaped him and he looked down messing with his hands.
Looking up at him with a blank look, Rhonda scoffed a bit. âOh you mean like the last time I saw you?â she asked, her voice laced in disdain. âI think I remember you saying something about âgetting down to businessâ then too.â
"Yeah, well⊠Itâs all I really do now-a-days." He cleared his throat. "No room for relationships or anythingâŠ."Â
"Wait, did you think I was complaining?" she asked with a chuckle, "Those couple of nights were some of the best I've had. Wouldn't trade them for the world. I knew you weren't a 'settle down' kinda guy when I met you, Dean. Why do you think I took you home that night?"
