On a different note, I think Sokka would be the kind of person to see his crush and then immediately knock everything off the table.Ā
(Is this what college parties look like?? According to stock photos, they are. I wouldnāt know, as I am not in college. I havenāt even been to a party since the plague began.)

On the next page, He looks up as someone from off the panel says,Ā āHey-ā In the second panel Zuko stands and smiles awkwardly. He says,Ā āum, areā are you the ran-into-doorframe guy?ā Sokka looks horrified. He thinks, OH GOD, and in a thought bubble, the black and white frames of the original comic where he walks into a door appear. Sokka grins sheepishly and rubs the back of his neck with one hand. As he does so, a little piece of paper falls out of his pocket. He says, āHAHAHA! YEAH, THATāS ME!ā In a thought bubble, Sokka thinks the words,Ā ākill meā over and over.Ā
Zuko bends over and says,Ā āHey, you dropped something.ā Sokka again looks horrified, and reaches out. Itās too late, Zuko has already picked up the note. On it, it says,Ā āPUNS TO WOO THE HANDSOME GUY FROM THE JASMINE DRAGON WITH: youāre mocha me crazy, words cannot espress-o how much you mean to me (too much- maybe 4th-5th date material), what ever beans necessary (work this in somewhere) YOU LOOK FAB-BREW-LOUS TODAY, Affogato my name when Iām with you, NOT HOTTER THAN YOU (YES), FRENCH PRESS, (genius)ā There are hearts, scribbles, and arrows all over the page, including a terrible drawing of Zukoās face.Ā
On the next page, Zuko looks at the paper, surprised, and says,Ā āThese- This is for me, isnāt it?ā Sokka says,Ā āuHM.ā and gulps. Zuko begins to laugh. He says,Ā āTHATāS HILARIOUS.ā Sokka looks away, reddening and beginning to cry. Zukoās laughter trails off and he looks back at Sokka. Then, he frantically waves out his hands, and says,Ā āoh OH No! Iām NOT laughing like THATāā He rubs the back of his neck.Ā āItās just thatā I canāt BELIEVE you spent all that time coming up with those just specially for me.. Itās just so stupidly thoughtful. And, Iā¦ Wellāā Zuko looks at Sokka and smiles.Ā āthink itās kind ofā endearingā
Zuko holds up his hands.Ā āIf, I mean, thatās what you were insinuating, with the puns. You were insinuating that, right? OH GODāā Sokka holds up his hands too.Ā āNO! Waitā I mean YES! Yes, I was definitely insinuating, um, that, yes.ā They both smile awkwardly. Zuko says,Ā āAh hah hah, cool, Ha!ā Sokka says,Ā āYes, cool! Ha!.ā Zuko raises his brow and looks off to the side. An ellipsis appears above his head. Then, he smiles and says,Ā āWell, if thatās what you were insinuating, thenā¦ Iām free tomorrow at 8:00? We could hit up that new coffee shop? Itās a bit pricy, and probably wonāt be as good as the Jasmine Dragon, butāā
Sokka raises a brow and says,Ā āOh, you mean the one where weāll just go in, stare at the egregious prices for a whileā¦ then go to the much cheaper one down the road?ā Zuko says,Ā āHA.ā Sokka smiles and leans forward, while Zuko covers his mouth and laughs. Sokka says,Ā āI mean, what do they expect, opening a place like that in a uni town? I mean all I have in my wallet is maybe 2 dollars, and, like, a gum wrapper. I aboso-BREW-tely canāt believe it!ā Zuko smiles and wipes a tear. He says,Ā āMAN, youāre funny. The puns are actually starting to grow on meā¦ā He smiles.Ā āWell, uh, See you.ā Sokka smiles sweetly back,Ā āSee you.ā Sokka walks backwards and says,Ā āBYE!ā The back of Zukoās head is in the foreground. He says,Ā āWatch out for door frames!ā Sokka says,Ā āHa!ā Then, he trips over a stand in the backyard (BUMP) and says,Ā āWUP.ā Zuko sweats. Sokka, now on the ground and cluthcing the stand, says,Ā āIām ok.ā Zuko is relieved. End ID.]
