sO I really enjoyed Child of Light and was extremely entertained by it but dANG y’know Nox’s character more or less was turned to mulch halfway through the game and that just kind of made me mad for all sorts of reasons 

So yeah. Racebent and (with proper rewriting) Redeemed Nox? I could get behind that.

So everyone was making their Gemsona and with that new sheet that was going around I finally got the chance to give it a try. Lets see where to start.

Bio and stuff under cut

This is Turquoise, an uncut variant due to how she was created. Forged by White Diamond back on Home World, Turquoise was a manner of trying to find out the exact causes for why gems become corrupted. Being the forced fusion of two shattered gems (one being corrupt and the other not) Turquoise was created. 

Displaying properties of a corrupted gem (having a bestial form, lack of eloquent communication (speaking in few worded sentences and relying more on gestures; which becomes better with time, she can degenerate into this manner of speaking if she gets too excited however)) but having the sentience of a “normal” gem, Turquoise was deemed to be a perfect bridge between the two by White Diamond. 

However, (in my canon anyway) Yellow Diamond had a fail proof way of corrupting gems that didn’t comply with her best interests. Hearing that White Diamond had made headway with corrupted shards, it would only be a matter of time before WD would find a way to cure corruption. Taking matters into her own hands YD went to silence both WD and Turquoise. 

Knowing WD was a bigger threat, YD killed and shattered her first, then tailed after Turquoise who had witnessed the attack. Another gem, Pyrite (another friends Gemsona) heard the commotion and lead the experimental gem to safety- the both of them soon fleeing to Earth on a barge set for establishing the Kindergarten. 

Becoming separated shortly after, Turquoise fended for herself and watched the war from the wilds. Lacking the ability to correctly shape shift, she utilized her “corrupted” form; a large lionish beast to scare off humans and other earth creatures which got too close to her. Living in solitude made her appreciate her corrupted form more, although things changed when she crossed paths with a purple Jade which had fled from the Earth’s Kindergarten. 

Bonding as escapees and learning from each others strengths and short comings, Turquoise became more comfortable in her humanoid form, even eventually learning how to summon her weapon; two claws and a mouth guard. Working alongside Jade she keeps their little pocket of land safe from corrupted gems and malicious humans, although they might get involved with the Crystal Gems sooner or later. 

Bio aside, Turquoise is still smaller than the other gems save for Amethyst, being only a bit taller than her. Her voices is rough and sounds more like a growl at first. Preferring to walk on all fours even in human form gets her odd looks- I’m sure Jade much to her exasperation has tried to get her to break that habit. This behavior coupled with her wild demeanor would obviously make others apprehensive in approaching her, but those whom she deems as a friend have made a lifelong buddy.

SO after asking permission from amberfigueroa to color one of their line works I promptly did so. -and thanks!

Yellow Diamond from Steven Universe Base Model was a Samus Amiibo, Green Stuff, and Citadel paint I had previously worked on this amiibo and tried to turn it into an EVA-01 unit but sadly failed. Having a resurge for a muse I tackled it again. The cluster-like arm was derived from an theory that Homeworld was using the fragmented gems as a means to recreate limbs for gems that for whatever reason failed to assume a fully functional body. Since the glyphs in the one ruin depict Yellow Diamond with no arms, perhaps she was trying to find means to regain her lost limbs. Drawing inspiration too from Resident Evil (particularly the Ouroboros and how it can either accept or reject its host) I used the arm cannon to my advantage and created a "failed" limb graft that while it would appear to be functional for awhile, would eventually reject its grafted host- however to some extent the host could still control it. Either way I'm extremely happy with how this turned out.

Peridot Game Mat Worked on this with Citadel Paint and sealed it with primer There were a few mishaps but I'm happy with how this turned out in the end
