Meow for Me
Xiao x cat!fem!reader
Night had settled over Wangshu Inn. The moon hung low, bathing everything in silver light as you sat on the railing, tail swaying lazily to a rhythm only you could hear — bold, teasing, with that unmistakable “miau” attitude.
Xiao stood in front of you, arms crossed… But the way he looked at you —sharp, focused, dangerously soft —that was only for you. Your tail twitched. Your ears flicked at every faint shift in his presence.
“You’re acting strange,” he said quietly as he stepped closer. His voice was low — smooth, velvety — way too dangerous for your heartbeat.
You smirked. “Strange? It’s just… a mood.”
He moved right up to you. So close his breath brushed over your ear — and your ears instantly twitched. Of course he noticed.
“You’re very sensitive tonight,” Xiao murmured, raising a hand to touch the base of your ear — just lightly. A tiny sound escaped you — barely a breath. Your tail jerked and wrapped around his wrist on instinct.
Xiao froze for a moment. Then slowly traced his fingers along your tail, dragging downward with intentional slowness.
“Just like that,” he said quietly. His expression stayed serious, but his eyes softened in a way that made your stomach flip. “You don’t even realize what you’re doing.”
You swallowed. “I… I’m not doing—”
He closed the remaining distance. His lips hovered right beside your ear.
“Then do it again,” he whispered. “Meow.”
You shivered, ears standing straight up. “Xiao…”
“Meow for me,” he repeated — calmer, but with a firm, commanding undertone that sent heat rushing to your cheeks. His voice was a spark running right down your spine. Your tail tightened around his wrist, your body answering before you could think.
“M… meow…” you breathed, barely audible. Your ears flattened in embarrassment, tail trembling, your face burning. Xiao closed his eyes for a second — like that tiny sound hit him harder than any karmic pain ever could.
He exhaled slowly, fingertips sliding up to the most sensitive spot on your ear.
“Again.” His voice dipped, rougher this time. “For me.”
There was no resisting — not the mood, not him. You leaned forward, forehead resting against his chest, and…
“Meow…” Soft. Warm.
Xiao let out a sharp breath and wrapped an arm around your waist. Your tail curled fully around him now, pulling you even closer.
“Mmm…” he murmured against your temple. “If you react like this… I might ask for it a lot more.”
Your ears trembled, a soft purr rising from your chest as Xiao held you tighter — closer than he usually allowed himself to. The night, the rhythm, his voice — everything blended into one quiet, intimate, dangerously sweet moment.
