You were the middle cousin, way too little to play with the older kids while they were all playing football together. They told you that you could join if you wanted, but it was a rondo and you were stuck in the middle… the younger cousins were asleep. Annoyed, you went to the park by yourself.
There was a boy your age playing alone there. Honestly, he was really good. He had his hair like a bee !!, which looked super cool, and a bandage on his nose. That’s when you walked up to him.
You asked, and little Meguru completely lit up. He immediately started nodding and jumping around, passed you the ball, and the two of you started playing (you weren’t very good but he taught you).
Anyway, one afternoon you met his mum. Literally, she was exhausted from work that day you devoured her house, and somehow every snack time at Meguru’s house you would magically appear there ready to eat too. She was really sweet and let you come over all the time, and eventually you two started hanging out every day.
Your friendship with Meguru grew so much that you became best friends!!!
Meguru got bullied at school. People called him weird and excluded him, so his mum decided to transfer him to your school so he’d be happier.
That was genuinely the best decision ever!!!
Now you two were completely inseparable!!!
You really were the best friends in the entire world…
Buuuuuut one day Meguru was sick and arrived late to class and the moment you laid eyes on him you kind of saw him differently like…he was actually really handsome.
And yeah, that feeling wasn’t going away!!! Not at all!!!
Since the poor girl had absolutely no idea what to do, she started acting weird sometimes… until one day she decided to write him a letter and give it to him.

Hiii, I know this might seem really sudden!!
And I’m scared of ruining our friendship like this, but I needed to tell you already.
I love you, and not just because you’re the best friend I’ve ever had. I love you more than that… like, I really like you. I adore you. I think you’re gorgeous.
Genuinely, I think you’re the most handsome boy I’ve ever seen.
You have the prettiest smile ever (I love it soooo much, I swear just seeing you smile a little makes my day better. I hope I can keep seeing it every day. You being you and doing your silly stuff = me being happy).
Your eyes (I look at them and I can’t stop looking, it’s like I get lost in them). And your lips (God, I’d love to kiss you, they must be super soft). Your nose is really cute too, and the shape of your face, and your hair (it’s so soft, I love it so much, and the brown and yellow colours are super cute heheheh . Even though when you were little people used to say you looked like a girl).
And you have a nice body too, okay? I mean, have you SEEN those legs, Meguru…
But I’m not here just to talk about how looking at you makes me go crazy. I’m also here to tell you that on the inside you’re the most beautiful boy there is too you’re always so nice, funny and kind.
I genuinely love the way you are, Never change I love you.
You always manage to make me smile, even when I feel like kms. You make me laugh with your nonsense, and even if you don’t know it, you’ve saved me so many times.
I’ve stayed around because of you, and I’m really grateful that you’ve always been here through the good and the bad, so why not stay like that with me forever?
So since I know that if I try saying this in person I’m going to start stuttering like I always do when I’m nervous and completely ruin it, I wanted to say it here: I like you so much that my head hurts because I can’t get you out of it agh please be my boyfriend (Yes or no???)
END OF THAT STUPID LETTER!!!
Okay, so you call him over to the school courtyard, hand him the letter, and immediately leave.
He reads it at lightning speed, and before you even realise what’s happening, he’s launched himself at you from behind and wrapped you in a huge hug.
— “YESSS, I LOVE YOU TOO, OF COURSE I WANT TO BE YOUR BOYFRIEND!!!”
You genuinely turned bright red.
Then he kissed your cheek and squeezed you in his arms so hard that you nearly fell backwards with him, but whatever.
Later, back at his house, you slept cuddling together (you used to have loads of sleepovers anyway), and his mum didn’t think anything was weird.
A week later you guys finally told her.
— “Mum, Y/N is my girlfriend!!!”
And well, his mum acted surprised (she’d suspected it ever since that little girl started showing up at her house for snacks).
Oh and he brings you flowers!!!
One morning, exhausted and heading to class with your friends, you see Meguru holding a little bouquet.
— “Meguru, why are you so adorable!!!”
You grab the flowers and end up tearing up a little, afterwards you just squish him into a huge hug.
He does this every single Friday.
