I Enjoy My Journey to Self Love Unconditionally
Back then, I was a person who had severed by acne problem since Junior High School. The struggle was real because of my lack of confidence. Ā I wasnāt focused on how to treat my skin well instead Iām just stressed and my skin got even worse. I covered my face with hair and just washed my face in the night time with face wash. Sometimes, Iām not even washed my face and just got to sleep. Ā I had no idea what a lazy girl I am, previously! And THIS is the reason why I have big problems with my face until now.
Iām 28 years old woman with acne prone skin, acne scars, dark spot, hyperpigmentation, and rough skin texture. I got my treatment with dermatologist in February 2015 to treat my acne. Almost 2 years, I got treatment and I felt better with my skin. Those acnes are gone! Literally, I just got acne in my period sometimes. The doctor gave me some products such as spot treatment, sunscreen, day cream and night cream which I had no idea what ingredients inside. I ever asked my dermatologist about the ingredients, but sheās never answered my question.
Sometimes I did microdermabrasion, chemical peeling, and derma rolling only when my skin is clearly clean with active acne. Actually, I felt some improvement with my face appearance. The only thing Iām concerned is how to make my skin soft and restore uneven skin texture. So, my dermatologist recommended me to take a micro-needling or dermarolling treatment in 2015. My first treatment with micro-needling was in Mei, 2015. Yep, 3 months are enough to taken away acne on my face. Impressive! Two weeks before that, I took microdermabrasion. This was nice! My face just relax!
I have around 5-6 times microneedling treatment since then. Ā Iāll forgot how many times I got it, exactly. But my skin texture was slightly improved. I choose to quit the treatment because I feel bad about my face in two weeks after treatment. Itās burned, flashed, literally Iām in pain.
So I quitted those routine and I basically busy with my new activities. So, Iām not concerned with my face appearance at that time. Hahaha I feel bad about it, actually! Shortly, Iām back in 2019, starting new routine with skincare, yaiy!!!
And today is 30th August, 2019 and I'm enjoying my minimal skincare routine. At first, I saw beauty blogger on YouTube gave her personal routine which was suitable for my skin, I guess. Iām followed her routine because sheās using local products and as you know thatās affordable for my wallet :D
Iām enjoying the process while I continuing my research to find other products to fit my skin needs. The first 2 months was good. The next month was horrible! Because I donāt understand about over-exfoliating yet. Hahaha I thought I was using retinol toner too often, using pure centella ampoule or using skincare with natural extracts which was artificial preservatives.
So, I quit 10 steps skincare routine and just using what my skin craves.
Day: Cleanse (lukewarm water/mild cleanser) ā hydrating toner- vit C ā moisturize āsunscreen
If you donāt know, vitamin C is a good combo with sunscreen. It gives strong protection rather than using sunscreen itself.
Ā Night: Double cleanse ā exfoliating toner (2x/week) - hydrating toner ā serum (niacinamide, alpha arbutin, cica snail) ā moisturize/sleeping mask ā meso ampoule (1-2x/week)

I think about the price you know hahahah and it works for me, slowly but sure! I love enjoying my routine, self-love activities!
