Recently I wondered if Xie Lian could be just as crazy and obsessed with love as Hua Cheng, just not as obvious? What if, throughout all 800 years of wanderings, at each new place where Xie Lian stopped, he built a small memorial altar for Wuming and offered flowers there?

Just imagine the scene: Mu Qing and Feng Xin take Xie Lian away from the Cave of Ten Thousand Statues in horror, saying that Hua Cheng is a sick madman. And later they find out that Xie Lian also built about ten thousand altars throughout Jianghu for the same damn Hua Cheng, and they are like: it looks like we are the only adequate people here :'D

Now this is my little headcanon that I really like. Because Moxiang didn't specifically say what Xie Lian has been doing all these centuries, so it may very well be true >:)

Heh, I'm just drawing some art that has no connection with Xing Hai but this guy just appearing in random corners of the canvas...

If you look at my speedpaints, you'll see how bad my ADHD is, because the canvas keeps spinning like a helicopter and random crap that has nothing to do with the current work keeps popping up on it... :')

Aaaand... I finally came up with something like a normal outfit for this dude.

I usually just come up with a palette of characters and a general theme of their clothes, and then dress them in something new each time, because, yes, they are alive and wear different things.

But Xing Hai is a hobo, poor man, vagabond etc :') He just doesn't have money for other clothes and always wears the same rags! So I couldn't decide for a long time what would suit him better.

New headcanon: Hua Cheng gets a tangible power boost whenever Xie Lian is affectionate with him or praises him, because his love for Xie Lian is the source of his power. There's an alternate universe where, when Hua Cheng starts to fade after the boss battle at the end, Xie Lian pushes him down and fucks him right there and he stabilizes.
