HE COULD FEEL small drops of sweat starting to form, his hands almost shaking and yet he couldn’t understand. they were all reunited yet once again - a macabre soiree that would’ve been perfect if it wasn’t by some of the guests. sure, some of them could be extremely skilled in patrick’s eyes, but they could always live up even more to their names. dress better, look better, behave better. and certainly two of those reasons were somehow a problem he was currently facing. or, rather yet, an inconvenience.
someone taking a place that should’ve been his. he was, other than the host, the best killer standing there in his own opinion. he had the talent, the charisma, the looks. he should’ve been chosen to be james march’s protegee. and yet, there he was. john lowe. his outfit’s fabric - oh my god. it wasn’t even pressed. he doubted it was recently bought, too. obviously he didn’t just pick it up from the laundry. and what was that hair style ? they sure didn’t go to the same professional. it was a joke.
IT TOOK A FALSE, STAGED SMILE for him to make himself heard once again. talking about trophies & success and yet it was perhaps just as superficial as a business meeting at pierce and pierce. still a much better conversation, nonetheless. ‘ .. how about we hear it from john ? see, everybody is just dying to know what your biggest accomplishment is. ’ everybody being him. he had to know why.
