Can’t Believe This One (KG “Yuri” Commentary)

So, the following two images are real, official art: 

I wish this was a joke. 

While the first one isn’t that bad, holy heck do I have issues with the KiraMary one. I’ve addressed YuMary and the issues with both its official art and fanart before. That makes the first pic par for the course. 

The KiraMary pic, though…wow. 

One, even though KiraMary is a ship, this is not how it plays out. The main fodder for KiraMary comes from Mary’s encounter with Kirari in Ch.13 of the manga and ep 6 of the anime. As a reminder, Mary looked like this: 

…in the anime. In the manga, it’s more like… 

Either way, Mary did not enjoy her last go with Kirari, so I’mma just say both of them are horribly out of character. I guess Mary was serious about wanting the President’s seat, though. 

Second, the anatomy is horrible. We’ve been discussing it in the Cocktail Lounge. Kirari looks way too flexible, and the artist clearly likes big butts and cannot lie. “Where are their organs?” also came up. Basically, the anatomy is all sorts of wrong, and it’s OOC. Or it might be Ririka, 

This redraw, done by YLS on Discord, looks really good. It doesn’t fix any other anatomy issues, but it’s better. I triple dog dare people to redraw this poster - for better or worse! 

Also, girls looking at the camera instead of at each other. Things like this are why I do not take “poster yuri” seriously. Check please. 

P.S. I don’t care if Tumblr takes this down. I need it up for less than a day.
