America has evolved their own genital cutting custom. The curiously high rates of non-therapeutic genital ‘procedures’ practiced on healthy infant boys makes it glaringly obvious. Male genital cutting has just become a social, cultural, sexual and aesthetic norm.

Forced genital cutting is a hard sell… convincing parents to perform unnecessary ‘surgeries’ on their kids is easier when packaged and sold as ‘preventative medicine’. This specific male genital tissue, unlike any other part of the body, is not legally protected which leaves it wide open for exploitation.

One of the file cabinets in our office just recently broke and we were unable to open the top drawer. In the process of trying to get the top drawer to open we saw a green and white piece of paper in the very back of the file cabinet. Someone pulled it out and saw that it was from the Sears Portrait Studio Copy & Restoration Department. It has the name, address and phone number of the person on the envelope and an order date of February 22, 1990. The cool thing though is that in the folder there was a negative!

My scanner is able to scan negatives, so I took it home to scan it and see if there was a way for me to figure out who the people were in the photo and maybe find a way to return it to it's original owners.

According to the phone company the address listed on the envelope shows a different person living there with a different phone number. I didn't call the number because I don't want to bother someone when I know it's not the right person.

So this is where my test of social media comes in. Can we spread this post and these images around in the hopes that I can find the true owner of the negative so I can return it to them some 15+ years later?

This issue is also not about the Foreskin at all, it’s about the inability for an infant to consent to a procedure that will forever change them.

Using your logic, a female about to go through FGM is to blame because she didn’t run away. I mean she could have right? She’s at least to the age of puberty. I mean come on! Do you see how stupid that sounds?

The point is when you permanently alter someone’s body in a way that shows no improvement to the person’s immediate health (life saving procedures here) and is shown to cause permanent, irreparable changes to the individual and you do so without the individual consenting to it. Then you are violating the individuals rights as a human being. Period. End of story. It doesn’t matter if the person is male, female, Japanese, American, German, Russian, White, Black, Orange, Green or whatever. You are basically saying to them (without using words) that your body does not belong to you, it belongs to me, and I get to decide what your body looks like.

It’s ridiculous!

People who argue that circumcision is beneficial fall into one or more of these categories (I’m sure this isn’t an exhaustive list):

1. People who have not researched the procedure at all. 2. People who were circumcised at birth and refuse to entertain the idea that their body was modified without their consent. 3. People who circumcised their children and refuse to entertain the idea that they modified their child’s body without their consent. 4. People who are ignorant of human rights.

It’s really that simple.

Yeah! You know what is at stake? It's your right as a citizen to demand a Congress that is accountable for what they do! Do people really think that congress should be able to just write laws as vaguely as they want and enforce them as they see fit depending on the alignment of the stars or to meet with their political gains at that point in time?

No! If congress wanted the subsidies to go to everyone they should have said so. They said what they did to help coax states into setting up their own exchanges, they just didn't expect it to backfire and now they want to change their mind. Bullshit! If Congress wants to change the law, they need to do so legally, by putting it to a vote!

The Supreme Court doesn't care about the people who may or may not lose their insurance benefits, and they shouldn't! The court is there to determine the legality of the law, not play moral or welfare state police!

People are insane and are more concerned about losing their "subsidy" than they are about giving congress a blank check to write any law they want and then changing it without following the democratic process.

Though this isn't anything new, Americans seem to freely piss on the constitution when given the chance and are more than happy to just give up their rights when Uncle Sam says so.

Open your eyes people! Jeeze!

This mother is being forced by the very courts that are there to protect her and her son to sign a consent to circumcise her perfectly healthy son. It only takes a second to read and sign!
