//zélie is aroace! she doesn't have a human gender because she's not human, but she is cis.

💚- Is there any Pokémon you feel specially connected to when it comes to your sexuality/identity??

//she would say no. she's not a trainer and doesn't want to be, so there's nothing she really feels a special connection with.

🧡- How did you find out that you were LGBTQ+??

//solange always had a general dissatisfaction in her marriage... i don't think she put into words that she preferred women, or that it was fine that she did so, until after her affair with ghislaine. then after her death it wasn't something that ever came up--she was already a terrifying ghost so who was gonna tell her she couldn't pursue women? she learned the verbiage for it much later, probably in the early 1900s or so, and very quickly adopted the label of lesbian.

//ghislaine has always been kind of muddy about her identity, so you could argue she still hasn't figured it out. she identifies more as a knight than as a man or woman, but isn't nonbinary, and in the modern day she doesn't like putting a label on what she is--she just knows she's a knight who prefers women and masculine terms of address, but isn't a man. i'd describe her as a bi demigirl, but she wouldn't call herself that.

💛- Who is/was your number one supporter in your journey of self-discovery??

//they're each other's number one supporters. they've both been alive for a very long time and any immediate family they had are long gone.

//yvonne is bi all the way down--she's had girlfriends and boyfriends in the past, but she prefers to be friends with someone before going out with them. looker is deeply, deeply demi. friendship must be maxed out before he's interested. he wasn't always like that, though.

💛- Who is/was your number one supporter in your journey of self-discovery??

//hilariously, serena, yvonne's little sister, is this for looker. she's very into lgbt+ culture, and he is... not. but she's very enthusiastic about helping out someone who doesn't really have the right vocabulary to describe what he is.

💙- Any plans for pride??

//i have plans for team yvonne but they're not going to like them very much. we're coming up on the end of the main story and getting into MD, which is fun for me and terrible for all the characters here.

//i'm thinking i might do some mentions of a pride parade around the 15th or so... we'll see!

No. Not everything is solved with a pokémon battle. Not everyone is a trainer.

I'm unsure why someone who is not a trainer would need to battle.

I won't, no. The only thing I will say was that she was killed, because that's usually the only part he's comfortable sharing with others.

Oh, I personally think we could, actually. One little venipede versus a fully grown charizard and garchomp? That's nothing!

I think it's a psychological hangup. And I say hangup without judgement--the circumstances just are what they are, and it's his choice ultimately so I am not going to push the matter further.

Grief isn't a thing you can force your way through.
