another ask but i have been playing so many chatsims(think a date with deathh or killerchat if you don't know them) lately not to be off topic buy how would everyone think of them? i think lynne would know the most andelle would play cuz of her (simp) but i couldn't even imagine the others tho

Egen: Won't play one on his own, but would watch Eiren play one when she's casting it from her console/PC to the TV. Would likely remark on the similarities of chatsims to their time communicating through texts, calls, and videos during their year of long distance. Keeps offering to LARP various otoge scenarios until Eiren bonks him on the head cheems style📱
Andelle: Probably checks one or two out after hearing about them from Lynne. Gets the bad end because he would not confess first or return the affection of the characters. They should confess first, and show interest first. Yes, he will die on this hill.⛰️
Nabo: Checks a few out just to stay in the know on what everyone else is on about. Gets the bad end immediately because he would not stop picking, ". . ." or failing to respond.👻
Lynne: An experienced otoge player who will antagonize all love interests just to see what happens. She would likely start a lot of games but not finish them. Backlog? Don't ask about her backlog. It's a sensitive topic. And yes, she picks up more games every Steam sale.💻
i hope you are doing well. I was wondering how egen is when he is angry? i think this applies for all the others too. He seems as stubborn as a rock and for some reason i feel like he would be always right, that pisses me off even more lmao but with the sole exception of erien ofc

How that manifests depends on if you're one of his loved ones or an enemy. Most negative emotions are unknown to him so he finds experiencing them novel. Something along the lines of, "Oooh! So this is [insert negative emotion here]? Feels terrible, haha!"
Egen is stubborn, but doesn't feel the need to always be right. He's had too many humbling experiences from various events commanding his fleet for that. He errs more on the side of issuing a warning first to open dialogue on an issue. If you're his enemy however, it's more like, "Egen will remember that, bide his time, and deal with that at a later date that's most inopportune to you."
Eiren will always be the exception! He's crazy in love so that means special perks!😤

😂😂 Okay, but fr. My non-memelord answer is I've been thinking about this one for a while actually! So much that I made it one of the fun facts for Love Limit's second anniversary!
Ornthon's orbit is longer than the one we have on earth. Because of that it's not possible to celebrate a birthday for any of the ornthonians, as it would change wildly each year. With that in mind, they'd probably agree to a date that has some sentimental significant to account for that if you wanted to celebrate it.
As for the gals, Eiren's birthday is 11/18, and Lynne's is 05/27!
It's rainy season here, so I've been swimming to and fro from the birdhouse since the last check-in. Grab a snack to peck away at! We're diving into studio updates. Let’s get to it!
I spent the bulk of Janurary wrapping up leftover tasks from December of last year, and planning my schedule for this year. The bulk of it was paperwork, sending emails, or things like inventory, expense logging, etc. The most exciting part of that month was setting up my dev-focused planner, and setting goals for the year! (Never get into stationary. It's a trap. And if you're already there well...🤝) I broke large goals down into small actionable tasks, and fleshed out anything that was too vague. Things like that.
I also picked up some pomodoro timer productivity tools around that time. Fellow devs and friends are using On-Together or Spirit City, so I'm trying them out. It'll help me keep track of time spent, and more importantly, remind me to take consistent breaks. There's quite a bit of work left for me till the Love Limitless demo is ready for its first pre-production testing phase. I want to avoid getting burnout by pacing myself.
By the way, if you're ever curious what "BIG" events are on the studio calendar, I have two "notes" on the studio's Itchio page! Updating it at the beginning of the years is one of my important tasks!
Lastly, I begin drafting all the goodies and information for the Winking Corvid Newsletter. There's quite a few players I need to inform, and not everyone uses social media. I've heard that a newsletter is the best way to keep everyone up to date. The thing is, I really like the idea of building more of a fanclub than just a newsletter! That way you all can get special goodies/events/perks, stay up to date on everything in the birdhouse in-between quarterly updates, and I'll be accessible. If you have any ideas for this, I'd love feedback as it is very much a work in progress! The current working title of the newsletter is Corvie's Coven!
Feburary was spent actioning the most important of my development tasks. Those taks were things that had an upcoming deadline, were past due, or would take time to produce. It included applying to more Steam and Itchio game festivals, preparing all the required materials for touching base with Egen's Japanese voice actor, rerecording lines, sending things off for production, and releasing the Aqua-Faire Drama CD.

I also began the lengthy process of becoming an approved developer on DLSite, IOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. Which is way too much paperwork for a bird, considering none of it was shredded for nesting material.
Once the Drama CD released, I locked in plans for the 2nd Anniversary. Back in Janurary I concepted what ideal anniversary celebrations would be like for the studio. Ultimately, I settled on having rewards interlinked with canon for milestone anniversaries (like multiples of 5), and themed rewards for small anniversaries (like 2,3,4,6 etc.) With that decided, this year's anniversary theme is Baking! I've partnered with local bakeries this year, so I hope you look forward to it!
Each and every one of you have been so lovely, and times have been so hard, that I wanted giving back at the forefront this year. I've created this years goodies with that in mind. The goodies are already in production, with talks wrapping up for the final one in the next week or so!

And now we've arrived at March!
The novelization of Love Limit's script arrived, and I'm still over the moon at how pretty it is!
It's still crazy to me that it's a real thing I can hold. Now that I've got it, I really feel like I can sunset the bulk of my focus on Love Limit, and keep pouring all of that energy into Love Limitless.
Speaking of, the mobile version of Love Limit is currently being beta-tested. Once the bugs in it are dealt with, I'll have to prepare the marketing materials for it's mobile release, as well as anything required for the game festivals it's been accepted into. Then everyone can take Egen along with them in their pocket😂! I also hope it'll bring in another clutch of players!
Since 2026 is game jam year, I've finally decided which jam to be part of! That jam will be (drum roll please!!!!!!!) Spooktober 2026!
I've decided to challenge myself. I really want to extend my range by writing something of a different genre, with my personal whimsical flair!! I can't actually start making the game until the jam begins, but I've had some ideas. The sticky notes on my mental corkboard say, "women's wrongs, necromancy, and yandere👀?" So, be sure to keep an eye out!! As soon as the jam starts, I'll be posting about our entry!
And last, but not least, work on Love Limitless is going smoothly! I'm locking in on the last of the writing for the demo. The biggest task at the moment is prototyping the core gameplay loop so that all elements interconnect with each other in ways that'll be satisfying to players. I haven't played anything that 1 to 1 matches what I've had in mind, so it's a unique puzzle to preen at. 🤞I'm hoping in about 1-2 months time I can pass the finished script over to Quack for the editing pass.
