howdy! this is a character run rp blog for zagreus from the game hades.

the mun is kris, 24 as of may 12th 2023.

Come to think of it they are proabbly one of the most diverse beast families in the human realm. MAybe second only to bugs. PRobably. I'm not coutning mammals as a whole because avians really ARE just specialized reptiles and I don't care what anyone has to say to the contrary.

Anyway. What sort of native fauna do you have? Our "birds" are less dsitinctive than the ones on Earth . More teeth and such. ACtually pretty much anyhting on the Isles is full of teeth and malice. Ahhh Titan I miss stepping five feet from my door and fearing for my life.

Only reptiles I know I've seen down here are serpents, and birds seem about as different to them as two creatures can be. Guess I'm not really one to talk though, given I've not seen many.

Well, let's see. We have fish for sure, but much different from any of the surface fish I've seen. Serpents, as I've said, the occasional bat, rats and satyrs in the Temple of Styx but as far as I know those also exist ton the surface. Oh, and dogs. One dog, at least. Cerberus! He's the lovely lad in my profile picture.

"Teeth and malice" sounds a lot like what I experience when I set foot outside the House too, actually. Except for instead of teeth, it's more malice.

...I'm sorry if that upset you somehow, but I've only been to the surface a handful of times. I've never seen anything like them. Except maybe bats, now that I take a closer look at them.

Birds, though? Is that what they're called?

They don't have ANY birds where you're from??? Taht's crazy. Even the Isles have .... thingies.

That's so sad.

They're specialize d flight-capable (mostly) reptiles with feathers in place of scales and beaks/bills instead of mouths full of teeth. They come in a vareity of different specialties based on their environment, available resources, and preferred sustenance. Eveyrhting from scavenging to fitler feeding to sucking nectar and cracking seed. Each species has a distinctiv ecall. And don't even get me STARTE D on the variance in their feather shape and color!!!!!!!!

Interesting! So each type of bird is almost its own entirely different creature, then? With all their different diets and calls and whatnot. You'd think there'd only be one kind.
