“I can be quiet and free with her; she understands my moods, and lets me alone in them, whereas with strangers I have to explain every random word–and it is so exhausting.”

Vigyan Bhairav Tantra – Second Meditation Technique
Yesterday we discussed the first technique that is described in the text Vigyan Bhairav Tantra. Today, we take a look at the second meditation technique.
2. “As breath turns from down to up, and again as breath curves up to down – through both these turns, realize.”
The second meditation technique is similar to the first one, but with a small difference. In this technique, the emphasis is on the turning of the breath and not on the gap. The ingoing and outgoing breath make a circle and that is what you will be focusing on in the second technique.
Many people think that there are two breaths. However, if you really look at it, the breath going in is half the circle and the breath going out is the other half of the circle. The same breath that goes in has to come out. So this means that it has to turn somewhere inside. The point where the incoming breath becomes outgoing is the point where one must focus on according to Shiva.
Shiva says, realize the turns and you will realize the self.
In that turning point, REALIZE.
Become aware of the turning and you will become a realized soul.
