Legacy. A long-lasting impact of particular events, actions, etc. Long-lasting impacts a father leaves to his son. Phantom Wrench Repairs has been the cover of the Ghost Riders Clubhouse since the 30's. Owned by Zak's grandfather. He bought the building in his early 20s and built it up to be the shop it is today. With that, he also held the title of president, a title soon held by his son. Now titles are not just passed down, Emilio Wolfe earned his spot to lead the gang and he might have been the best leader of his time.

Emilio married his one true love, Amina, and together they had five children, Zakaria being the second born after his sister. While his father didn't intentionally groom him for the role, he was his best friend and the two spent every possible moment together. Zak learned at a very young age how to make repairs and ride. He watched his father be one of the greatest leaders to live until he wasn't.

Zakaria was fifteen when his father suddenly passed, he wasn't that old but his health just wasn't right, he pushed himself too far and never gave himself a break. He had hoped Zak would be the next leader, but he was far too young and inexperienced to take over, he had to work his way up the chain.

Zak dedicated his life to the gang, running the shop after his father's death, and keeping up with the maintenance of the clubhouse. He married his High school sweetheart at 20 and had their first kid together a few years later, Sophia. He was named VP after the former retired. He was now second in command.

The pressures of a one-year-old, a crappy president, and taking on the VP left him stressed. He was doing a lot of the President's job and it had him scratching his head as to what was going on behind the scenes. He could not put too much focus on that though as his marriage was failing. The president sent him off on a mission where he had to travel south for a few months, leaving his wife and Sophia at home. While his wife said it was fine and they would get through it, upon his return it was evident it was anything but fine. His wife eventually left him, the gang, and their daughter behind and filed for divorce.

Zak is in no way perfect. He has made plenty of mistakes in his role as a leader, with his ex and with his kid, but he persists. The former President died and it was Zak's turn to step up. He was nervous to take over but also had a lot of cleaning up to do. He is still on the younger side to lead and everyone knows it. So if there is anything he has to do, it's to prove himself.

You have a family. And damn was Jason grateful for it — the ones by blood, the ones by choice, and the new ones who just entered the world only hours ago. "Irina, that's pretty. I like it, and the little man?" Jason asked, his stance letting up slightly at their mention. How could it not? "But yeah, I know. Thanks. Just a lot of shit all at once I guess." Jason told him as he looked Zak straight in the eye then quickly added. "But nothin' I can't handle."

There was a shrug that followed, and Jason puffed some more smoke into the air. He sure as all hell couldn't argue with him there. Ox was the best at everything. "Ain't that the truth." He clapped his free hand to best friend's backside. If his head was pounding from everything, both the good and the bad, he couldn't imagine what Zak had going on up there. "And what 'bout you big guy? You good?"

"Luka Fredrick, after Luka and Freddie." Luka's death rocked them both down to the core, Oxana more than anyone. The recently departed former VP was one of her closest friends. "I said yes to the middle name if we could make you the godfather, Luka Jason didn't have the right ring to it." Both of their names held importance, Luka's to close friends and Irina's to their combined heritage. "Don't think we cut you out, Jasorella was a close second and might be a long-running nickname."

"I know you can, I know it's a lot but we got you. We go down this road together, that's what best friends are for, plus some of it is my fault so it's time I pay my dues." He knew Harley would read him the riot act. "Me?" He let out a dry laugh, "I'm trying to hold it together, enjoy one of the three best days of my life, but there is a gloom, a gloom I don't want to linger over this day forever,r but one I can't ignore for much longer. The easy part is done, they are here, they are healthy and Oxana is safe. Now I've got to work like hell to make sure that never changes. And that is only just one of my current concerns."

Hero exhaled slow, dragging a hand down his face as he stepped further into the room. Guilt was a weight sittin’ heavy on his chest—he shoulda been there, shoulda known sooner. But he’d been wrapped up in his own damn world, while all this hell broke loose.

“Yeah, ‘course I came,” he said, voice quieter than usual, scratchin’ at the back of his neck. “Didn’t hear ‘bout the fire ‘til after. Should’ve been here sooner.” He shook his head, blue eyes flickering over Zak, taking him in—tired, but happy. Real damn happy.

Hero let out a breath, some of that tension loosening at the mention of the babies. “That’s good, man. Real good,” he murmured, a slow, genuine smile breaking through the regret. “Hell, a little early, a little small—don’t matter. Sounds like they already got that fight in ‘em.”

At Zak’s offer, Hero hesitated for just a second before nodding. “Yeah, I wanna see ‘em.” His voice was softer now, almost reverent, like he was steppin’ into something bigger than himself. “Reckon it ain’t every day you meet a couple’a brand-new badasses.” His gaze flicked back to Zak, smirk twitchin’ at the corner of his mouth, but the sincerity was there, clear as day. “Lead the way, man.”

Zak shook his head, "It's okay. I didn't either, Ox and I had already left for the hospital." Zak felt slightly guilty for not being there, but much more thankful his love and children were out of harm's way. "Right this way," Zak said as he nodded down the hall before leading him.

They came up to the window of the NICU, they were in there being checked out and treated. There are a lot of concerns for premature kids, but it seems so far they are both doing well. "Little Irina and Luka. God they are so small, it's so crazy."

It had been hard for Harley to come to terms with the idea that everything she'd once thought would be her life had well and truly slipped through her fingers. Recently events had made moving on significantly easier. Not only was she no longer in love with Zak, she hated him. The person he was showing himself to be now wasn't the man she'd once wanted forever with. Her husband was a good as dead to her; it was time to make that official. She turned up at his house and knocked, signed divorce papers in hand wanting nothing more than the whole thing to be over. She wanted to finally move on with her life and no longer have him be a part of it in any way.

They had barely been home and there was already a knock on the door. He let out an exhale and hoped to get rid of the person quickly, both he and Oxana were exhausted, and now they had to adjust the babies to being home. Opening the door, he wasn't surprised to see Harley. He knew this would come out eventually. He knew he wasn't innocent in all of this, he never claimed to be, but he was prepared to stick it all out, for Sophia. Neither of them was happy in the last months of their relationship and both had a lot of regrets. "Hey." He said weakly, knowing the new information must be a lot for her.

"Yes." Willem's answer was emphatic and eager. The moment he was was discharged, he didn't spare any time, immediately demanding to know what room Oxana and Zak were in, if they were accepting visitors, if said visitors were allowed to view the babies. In fact, in his rush to get to their floor, Willem had almost tripped on the stairs ( the elevator was taking too long ), after which he tempered his stride somewhat, as he refused to get himself injured again and put out of commission.

"Hi Zak-" Willem spoke distractedly, glancing past him towards the pair of bassinets on the other side of the bed. "-I'm so glad you're okay, but yes I would like to see the babies." His eyes practically shone in excitement.

Zak couldn't help but laugh, "Ah, I see who you are really here for." Zak teased him lightly, but he couldn't blame him, he would have been here for the babies if it was someone else in their spot. "We got baby boy over on the left here and that's our sweet little girl. Irina and Luka." Zak beamed as he looked down at him. His pride and joy, he in the past year he went from a family of 2 to 5 and he couldn't be happier."

Rowan nodded at the greeting and kept his arms crossed. He hated hospitals. They only reminded him of one thing, and he didn't want to think about that right now. "I'm fine." He was a little banged up, but nothing he couldn't look after himself. The cut across his cheek had already been covered with a band-aid a nurse handed him when he walked in. "That's good." He had heard the news, but he didn't want anything more to do with it. He shook his head. "No. Too much to do. Wanted to tell you what we know before I head back out."

Zak knew this wasn't exactly comfortable for him, he remembered that day very well. It was heartbreaking losing them both. They were all really close. Sophia and Grayson spent a lot of time together, they were basically best friends, not that they had a choice. "Fair." He wouldn't hold it against him, he understood. "What do you have for me?"

After all the shit that went down, Jason sure as all hell could use — no needed, perhaps even deserved, a cigarette break. Dilan's secret. Nico's story. Ghost riders caught in the cross fire of the explosion. Asher and Maddie. The birth of the twins, his godchildren. The list felt endless, and then there was Adeline. Adeline who Jason couldn't keep from harm's way on Halloween, and he couldn't keep from harm's way now. He hadn't expected the news of her passing to weigh so heavy on him, and yet here he was posted up in the smoking area out front to take the edge off.

Smoke was already funneling into his lungs by the time Zak met up with him, Marlboro pack already extended his way as he approached. "You really went with Jasorella, huh?" Jason teased back, shrugging a bit at his friend's next question. "But eh, I'm alright ya know me... how the twins doin'? And Ox?"

Zak let out a laugh, "No, we didn't, but I figured I'd call her that at least once. Irina. We named her Irina Nour." Zak said softly, his little princess was perfect, as was his strong little man. "I do know you man, which is why I am here. You don't have to choke this shit down, you have support, you have a family." Because that's what they all were, a family. "They are doing good, getting some tests done, doing the paper work and all that."

It had been one hell of a night, there was so much for them all to process. "She's doing good too. She is a trouper, really. But it's Oxana, she is amazing at everything she does."

Just today was Asher able to walk around, but with his IV still - and he felt incredibly antsy, annoyed and pissed off. He was going to find out who had done this, who dared to do this to him and traumatize his little sister. Looking up though, Asher had made it over to where Zak was, hearing about how the babies had been born and he forced a smile, out of his own thoughts. "I'm fuckin' pissed off as hell - but I'm alive and so is Maddie, so I'm okay for now. I wanted to see the babies though - everything good? Mom good too?" He asked, his voice still hoarse, bandages on his arm and the side of his face that were working to heal. "I'll see them, of course. You both figure out names?"

Zak held a sympathetic smile as he looked over Asher. "Hell yes you are." He hated seeing his people like this. "How is Maddie?" he asked, she was close with Sophia, he was protective over his kids. Maddie wasn't his, but his protection covered her as well. "Oxana is doing good, getting some rest," Zak said as he brought him over to the glass. "We did, that there, she is Irina Nour, our baby girl and the big dude, even though he is really small, that's Luka Fredrick, after Luka." Their former VP was Oxana's best friend and when they found out they were having a boy, she wanted to name him after him. "Jason and Brooklyn are gonna be their godparents."

“ hey man, congratulations ! Officially a dad of three ! ” freddie says, avoiding the others questions about himself in the way he so often does. “ and Oxana ? How’s she doing ? ” there’s an anxiousness behind the words, she is often on his mind. “ hell yeah ! I bought gifts as well. ”

The words brought a smile to Zak's face, a dad of three. It was beautiful. "She's doing good, she's tired but she did real good. She's getting the rest she needs and deserves." She needed it now, the next several months, they wouldn't be getting much. He gave him a nod over, "They should be good to go home soon." Zak said as he pointed to the two babies on the other side of the glass. "They are a little small but getting stronger, passed all their tests."

OXANA COULD STILL HEAR her heartbeat in her ears -- both after effects from her nightmare, and the fear that sat within the confines of her chest. but then, there he was. holding her. it's like he had sensed it before she'd even said a word. " sorry -- sorry... " she whispers, face buried in her neck. she had seen so much death. from the moment she could hold a knife, bodies surrounded her. was this the culmination of it all? a reckoning of all her actions -- all she had done? " they're -- they're okay... " she whispers, resting a hand along his chest. frankly, she could feel the seperation clawing at her. " i... i had a nightmare. " an explosion, even if she hadn't been there. they were hurt. everyone she loved.

adeline. jason. how many more people would be lost before the entire city would burn to the ground? while oxana had not known adeline very well, she knew the woman had met sophia. that she had mattered to jason, that she was kind. more human than some of them could ever dream of being. " they/re okay? both of them? " she questions, even if she knew that neither of them were on the list of released names. after a moment, she angles upward before pressing an elongated kiss to his temple. " our children... they're here, and they're beautiful. " her nose rests along his cheek. " we'll give them everything we never had. "

Zak wraps an arm around her as she nuzzles into him. "We are okay baby." He whispers in her ear. He could feel the pound of her heart against him. He let his hand come up and rub on her back, "I can go check on them." He whispers to her before giving her a tighter squeeze, "A nightmare? It's okay baby. We are safe here. Our people are around protecting us. I have us. I have someone outside NICU at all times overseeing the twins." He said softly. He made sure everything was taken care of so they could get a little rest. Peace of mind, it was the only way he would get some sleep.

He gave her a nod, "Yes, I've heard from Jason and saw Nico earlier with Maddie." He let out an exhale. "Everyone is okay. Asher is doing okay too. Ma came and picked up Sophia, and she will be back in the morning. "You did so good, mama. I'm so proud of you." He gave her a kiss to the forehead. "You did so well, they are so perfect."

Zak was standing outside the NICU watching the twins through the glass. They were getting better by the moment. There were light concerns with their size and being premature, but within a few days they would be good to go home. "You made it," Zak said without looking away, he knew who it was. She never got to Sophia as a baby, she missed the first six years of her life, and he wasn't sure how present she would be for the twins now either.

The events of last night were not favorable, "The babies are okay, they are a little early, a bit small but they are doing good." He said with a smile, he felt bad for being so happy right now, everyone else was suffering and this was the greatest night of his life in some aspects. "Do you wanna see them?"

This evening had crashed and burned as quickly as it became everything. It was poetic to think about, Adeline leaving this world at . the same time as his babies came into it. Zak was thankful Jason nd Dilan made it out before the explosion, it was two fewer people for him to worry about. Not everyone else was as lucky. "Hey," Zak said as he came out. The twins had made their entrance and were in NICU getting tested and Oxana was getting some much-deserved rest. This was the first time he had left her side since. "Jasoerlla has your eyes." He teased him lightly. He had been there, his best friend was there for it all. He had been there when Sophia was born too. "But then again all babies have blue eyes when they are born, or something like that. How you holding up?"

THE BABIES HAD ARRIVED, safe and sound, later in the evening -- leaving both herself and zak desperate for sleep, which at first didn't come. oxana couldn't bring herself to, not when her little boy and her little girl were in testing. that is, until zak had curled up beside her. a reminder that everything was okay. he was here, and he'd wake her if something was wrong. while she had never been the kind to allow someone else to protect her -- zak was the exception. the fact that she had allowed him to be at all was one of the many reasons she fell in love with him. there comes a time, however, she is awakened from a nightmare. once her heartbeat returns to normal, she looks around the room before her eyes settle on her phone -- something she hasn't looked at since firing off texts to the respective parties that they were coming. that's when her blood runs cold: a news notification. and two of the people she cared for most in this world were on it. without even thinking, she nudges zak awake. " baby.... " she begins, the tears beginning to come before she can stop them. she isn't one to cry, a reflex that had once begun as a choice, but her gaurd is down. she's vunerable. The night was long. Oxana was giving birth and his people were fighting for their life. Again he felt like he was failing but as he looked at Oxana and the two joys they created he knew he did something right. They finally were catching some sleep. Zak heard about the explosion but had little details as he had to lock in in oxana. Once the babies were out for testing, he crawled into bed with her and fell asleep.

Jolting awake at her nudge, “what? Are the babies okay? Are you okay?” He asked in his half daze. “Don’t cry baby.” He said as he reached over and took her phone giving it a read. “Fuck.” He hadn’t know who was hurt. “God. Adeline.” He exhaled, “Jason and Nico are gonna be wrecked…” he looked at his girl. “I will find out baby. I’ll find out, do not stress.”

SAFTEY. WHILE THAT HAD always been her top priority -- there had once been merely two people she had to worry about: herself and her sister. now, that list had doubled, and then some. but, as zakaria very well knew, oxana wasn't exactly the kind of person who liked her warabouts controlled. thus, she took a new approach to it all. no one else besides ghost riders leadership knew where they lived -- instead of being sheltered from the world, they were getting privacy to relish in every single moment of her pregnancy. away from the life that kept them going all these years. while she had sat beside zak for many a year, she now sat in a different seat. double the adjustment period -- but at least she got to come into her own in partial solitude. her laughter is small, considering the amount she has on her mind. and yet, it's genuine. " i may love a heel as much as the next girl -- but you're right... these legs have gotten me in far too many doors to cause them any damage. " retirement from stripping was proving to be far more freeing than she expected. the kiss is met a hand coming to rest against his cheek before her eyes turn to sophia. she would never let anything happen to her. that much she knew. she would take the pain if it meant keeping her safe. " i know i won't be alone... and in his own, confusing way, i don't think griffin would hurt me. " as a father of two children, he had to have some kind of moral compass. still, she was wary of his promises that he would always protect her. as sophia returns to their side, oxana puts back on a grin. Every day with Oxana he wondered how he could fall deeper in love. But every moment he spent with her was like living on a cloud. "Those legs got you into my bed too, don't you forget that." Zak teased lightly, she did have some great legs but there were a lot of other reasons for the union. After she was shot in September, reason just snapped. He gave in to all his wants and now he had two babies about to pop to show for it. Zak shook his head, "I just don't trust him. He stabbed Jason." But there was one thing they couldn't put on him and it was that he wasn't there the night of the raid. No one put eyes on him to tie him to that mess. "But I don't think he would either. He seems to have a soft spot for children." That fact alone made him question why Griffin wasn't in the clubhouse. Were they lying about not knowing she would be there? "Um... I want that tiger!" Sophia said as she pointed over to one of the booths. "Lets see if you can win it."

It was a cute day, one filled with love and happy people and families everywhere but all it did was remind Harley of her own unfortunate situation. She remembered the girl who had been so happy and in love, thinking her marriage would last forever and her husband would stand by her through anything. That girl was stupid and naïve. Still she was determined to make the most of the occasion and part of that was going to spend some time with her daughter - or at least it would have been in her ex wasn't an asshole. "It's obvious what I want I'm here to see this little cutie." Harley smiled, booping Sophia on the nose like she always used to do when she was a baby.

Zak didn't like this, feeling ambushed. They still have not come to an agreement on how to handle things and with the state of things, they hadn't had a lot of time to talk about it either. Whether she believed it or not, Zak did love her, back then at least. But they just weren't right for each other in the long run. Young love. They both didn't know any better. Zak hadn't had the chance to talk to Sophia about it either, Oxana and him have had some conversations but he didn't like this fast one over the girl, but Harley didn't know that. Zak looked over and spotted Oxana sitting not too far away, "Go have a seat Soph, I'll be right there." He said as he put her down and she ran over to Ox. "You can't just force your way in Harley. If you are actually serious about being in her life, we need to do it right."
