After Rebecca, I expected more mystery/horror from My Cousin Rachel but it was more of a romance novel with an undercurrent of betrayal and mistrust. I ended up hating Philip’s character so much.

Why Philip? What is he doing?
Mid week thoughts: you need a long shower with Rhythm Divine playing in the background…
One thing goes wrong and I immediately miss you. Pick up the phone to call you but I know I can’t. Why do people say that losing someone makes you stronger? Grief hits hard daily. Something should help ?
Next read- My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier. It seems there is a pattern in my reading? Perhaps i am going back to the authors that I know of. Does it happen to everyone? I enjoyed Rebecca. Oooh Gothic!
I just finished reading Hooked by Asako Yuzuki. As much as i was thrilled during the initial 2/3rds of the book, i feel the last bit had me rushed. I expected more. Note : expectations do hurt!
I guess I’m allowed to miss my ma every now and then?/
