okay there’s too much more here i have to mention. highlights of loghain mac tir’s soundset:

“hmp. i’m not as young as i used to be” and “these old bones can only take so much”

“Wonderful. More darkspawn. [Sigh.]”

“i don’t suppose anyone’s got yusaris handy?” when sighting a dragon, which as far as i can tell is a reference to a specific greatsword you can get from a specific circle tower sidequest that has a bonus against dragons. i have never seen anyone’s dialogue mention specific gear like this before

on sighting enemy beasts: “is someone carrying table scraps?”

taunt: “i’ll oblige you this time, but normally i don’t fight dullards and invalids.”

will shout “glorious!” after a fight won, cailan-style, which i feel normal about

bored: “maker, my foot’s asleep.”

in the circumstance where you get an insufficient skill and he offers to do it for you: “i will do that, if it needs to be done” with the v/o comment for the actor saying “he’s offering to help, but also mildly annoyed by the need to”

The thing is "Padawan. Steal a car." is actually one of the oldest and noblest Jedi traditions. Part of the standard duties of being a Padawan involves securing the getaway vehicle when your assignment has gone sideways six times over and developed into a full Situation. They have all done this. I know in my heart that even Luminara at some point looked at a situation and sighed and asked Barriss to please steal a car before the shooting starts.
