I wanna say sorry for the misunderstanding and miss information.

I was in a college class last night and I wasn’t able to watch the stream. I got the info from a friend whose exact words were “bro I can’t believe avid kept flirting with Scott when he said he was uncomfortable.” They then proceeded to say that Scott was the one who was uncomfortable with the flirting and so on and so forth.

I am genuinely sorry for spreading misinformation as it is not my intention to do so. I have made an edit to the post so that it’s not spreading misinformation and I (think) I have responded to every comment telling me info.

Uh, not to be a jerk but it really shows that you didn't watch Scott's stream; he repeatedly said that the play-flirting was mutual and he was fine with it (and the mutual understanding was that it was PLAY-flirting) and thought it was hilarious. He says that in retrospect he feels somewhat used but this is something he does with other friends and has made a habit of checking in frequently to be 100% sure they're still comfortable with it.

I don't know if you heard incorrect information second- or third-hand or are deliberately spreading misinformation, but Avid is terrible enough and doesn't need to be painted as worse.

Hey yea I completely understand why you made this message. I did in fact get miss information from one of my friends who was watching Scott’s stream while I was talking my college classes. I didn’t know at the time it was mutual flirting and I have edited the post. I do consider it still pretty bad because avid tried to spin Scott as some master manipulator. (And the fact calling someone daddy when you have a wife and kids and he has a boyfriend just kinda rubs me in the wrong direction)

For those that don’t know this was a card that acid gave Scott for his birthday, AFTER SCOTT HAD TOLD AVID HE WAS UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THEM FLIRTING WITH HIM.

Also you should be doing this anyway because HE HAS A BOYFRIEND. (Cam isn’t even putting out a statement about his experience with those two, I actually feel so bad for him and hope he can take the time he needs to heal. Same for Scott.)

Then avid spun the narrative to say that Scott was some evil mastermind that they couldn’t say no to.(whilst having an ENTIRE FULL ASS DOCUMENT TO DESTROY HIS LIFE) and then giving him that.

Genuinely disgusting.

(I always put this but, just because the cc! Is a bad person doesn’t mean you can’t like the character they played. Don’t let drama stop you from loving what you love)

That is a bit of misinformation. Scott never told Avid he was uncomfortable with the flirting, or at least it wasn't mentioned on stream from what I can recall. And he did find the card funny at the time.

The reason why Scott showed the card was to show that he didn't force that aspect into their dynamic (which Avid accused him of) and that Avid was a very active participant in the flirting (they went out of their way to get a card separate from Marm for Scott).

Not defending Avid here, just wanna make sure that things remain factually accurate though

Edit: so I got told misinformation about the situation and yes the PLAY flirting was mutual.

But then avid said he was uncomfortable with the flirting and tried to spin the story that Scott was manipulating him. So so sorry for the miscommunication! (Still very highkey bad considering avid has a wife and kids and Scott has a boyfriend.)

So actually there is one more thing i would like to say after watching leg’s vod.

I hope they get help. Not for their sake but for the people who still have to be around them.

Avid is a horrible fucking person and I can’t even begin to describe the disgust I feel knowing he spread rumors about someone ra*ping someone else. (As a person who had that same rumor spread about them.)

Like I said I’m going to take a break from content. The next time you will see me is probably when I post the next chapter of my fic.

So after reading more about the avid and marm situation( went to sleep before most of the creators statements came out) I kinda just wanna scream and cry and throw up

But I can’t do that. Because it’s unproductive. So instead of doing that I’m just going to make a big ass rant and spew out all of my thoughts and feelings about the situation.

So I’ve been in the mytc since like the beginning of the DSMP and have been through this kind of situation multiple times but it’s like the time with Wilbur.

When Wilbur was still a content creator I used to adore him. He was my comfort streamer and I would watch most of if not all of his streams and videos and listen to all of his music. But when it was revealed he was an abuser it absolutely devastated me. I went into a major depression and had multiple panic attacks and mental breakdowns before I finally got help.

And for some time I didn’t even try to trust any of the content creators I watched, including people who have literally changed my life (the life seires people)

Then I found avid and I thought I finally found a good person to connect with again. I thought it was a safe space to talk and be honest and be yourself. I acted the same way I did with Wilbur. I gave them so much time and attention and support and now I have nothing to give all that time to.

I listen to all of their music. I watched all of their streams. I watched all of theirs videos. I almost bought merch. And now it’s just gone.

I honestly don’t really know how to describe how much this hurts. I thought I finally had a chance to be able to trust mytc creators and it was a giant fucking slap in the face.

I’m going to go on a hiatus from posting and writing my fic to not stress myself out and spiral again.

My support goes out to the community and the victims of these two horrible god damn people.

Stay safe and never let those people make you stop loving what you watch.

So I actually lied. I’m am going to keep posting because it feels nice to just write yk? I lost both of my safe spaces in the span of 48 hours and I just need to write.

Now. I saw a creator ( @hopehagia ) talk about the avid and marm situation. And I agree 100%. They were trying to start a cult. The way they painted themselves as the only safe people and forced some people to not talk to anyone else in the creator circle.

Making a hierarchy of people (councils and not) and isolating and excommunicating former members (legs and cam) and making the nebula system. There is also the fact they were trying to control some of the young members of the sever. And threatening some of the older members. They were trying to make a following.

Hell if twitch con didn’t happen it might have worked.

Edit: I would not make these clames without any explanation, I have taken multiple anthropology and psychology courses over my middle and high school years and have studied with an actual therapist who worked with someone who was in a cult.
