“No!” Pallas’s mind went all fuzzy for a couple moments as Ekko seemed to hit all the right spots. His eyebrows shot up, eyelashes fluttered close as he slightly leaned in. A breath got stuck in his throat before escaping as an uncontrolled gasp. He could already sense a sweet purr crawling up his throat….

`!!!` demon finally caught himself and straightened his posture. Pallas cleared his throat and frowned even though it did not compensate a blush colouring his cheeks. `Why must he always see me embarrassed?…`

“I.. I mean.. I know what you’re trying to do.” he thought for a moment. Demon sighed. As much of a tease Ekko could be he certainly took a soft spot in Pallas’s core. “If you wanted to hear it so bad, you could’ve asked.” He stepped closer, wrapping arms around the boy and leaning his hot cheek on Ekko’s. “Hope you don’t mind..” if he’s going to allow this, it will be so much easier to at least hide his face. Agreeing with this was a huge step.. allowing someone to see the vulnerable side that he did not accept himself was quite a challenge.

“It’s rare for me to.. allow this.. in all honesty, you should feel honoured.” he muttered into Ekko’s ear. “Well… go ahead.”

“Oh..” Ekko sucked in a breathe as the demon came in and wrapped their arms around his body, the close contact unexpected but not unwelcome. “I have no idea what you’re on about” Ekko chuckled and he could feel his face going warm when he felt Pallas’s breathe against his ear and was glad the demon couldn’t see his face right now. “The honour is all mine then..” Threading slowly through the demons hair with his fingers, massaging slowly around their temples before making way back to the ears and applying light pressure around the lobes and to the back of the ears. Ekko at some point closed his eyes and was leaning slightly against Pallas’s, enjoying every moment of this. Never did he think they would ever become this close... but he sure was grateful they did. “Thank you for letting me do this..” His voice was low and content with a smile.

⛓ /not too late to the part, am I?

“Hnnh..” a loud ringing in his ears was the first thing to greet the demon as he started to come back to his senses. Piercing, as if drilling the teeth. What happened? Where was he? The last thing that Pallas could recall was.. a bright flash and a blow pushing him away. What kind of attack is that?.. As the ringing started to subside, he finally registered the cold of the ground against his face and muscles. He sensed a couple scratches, yet it took only bare moments after noticing for it heal up. Dizzy and disoriented demon tried to get up, yet.. was he tied up?

“The hell?..” he could still sense someone’s presence. Pallas wiggled a bit while purple orbs looked around to for the source of the energy. He blinked. “Ekko?” Dumbfounded Pallas stared at the familiar face. “What… What is this?” He refused to believe that anyone, but Ekko would betray him. Pallas trusted him! What was he thinking? Pallas needed an explanation, immediately.

Pallas’s words weren’t wrong, he was rather smaller than the man and… ending them could be a task proven difficult. But he had all the time in the world, to redo his mistakes time and time again till he got it. “You’re right about one thing, it will be difficult but… I do believe I have the time for it.” Ekko grinned a little at his own words before faltering slightly, why did this all feel so wrong? This was his main goal on befriending this demon, right?

….Right?

“Hn!” A sharp pain shot through his head, making him double over slightly and placing a hand over where the pain was. At first, he thought it was just fatigue but lately… Ekko wasn’t sure in the slightest. Then came the weird dreams and thoughts, he was sure they were his own but at times it seemed like a faint whisper from… somewhere darker. This has been happening since he came back from a small expedition, through some people he met some time ago, got invited to tag along and keep whatever he found. Course he kept this cool looking medallion he ended up finding, he didn’t wear it but he kept it in his knapsack.

“Oh really?” demon rolled his eyes, yet frowned as soon as scent of pain reached his nose. Pain.. and confusion? Something’s.. wrong. Aren’t things going according his plan so far?

“Doesn’t seem that you’re doing your best already.” he scoffed. “Ha, I’ve mentioned hitting your head as a joke, but seems like I’ve guessed it huh?” demon sneered taking the chance to continue cutting the rope. “And you were saying that I am pathetic.”

The pain slowly subsided and Ekko cursed under his breathe.“No.. It’s clearly I’m not doing my best but no matter, this doesn’t change anything.” This demon needs to be gone, to stop their carnage on these lands. ..Right? “You will die either by my hands or another, tonight.”

A cold, terrifying chill ran across his body like it was screaming at him and before his brain could process his actions, he gave the demon a pleading look for help. Eyes widening, he stared at the ground for a moment before quickly recollecting his thoughts and straightening out. Really…. what the hell is going on.
