Summary

Silco is caged in an endless loop where he relives the same sunny day at The Last Drop. Over and over again like a favourite song in a jukebox. It always starts with Powder bringing a small child named Viktor. But it always ends with a desperate man murdering him with a hammer. Remembering every loop against his will, Silco does everything he can to spare his family (and his sanity) from endlessly dying. And he knows it has to do with the ghostly hooded man who keeps watching from a distance.

Here's my fic entry for the @zaundadsbigbang, with art that can be checked here. It's finished and I will finish posting it by this week!

Silco is ready to die, but the universe seems to have other plans for him. Transported to the body and life of another version of himself, Silco will be haunted by the differences with his past decisions and how they shaped the lives of the people that surrounded him, his own life, and even his death. While trying to hide who he really is, he has to navigate his relationship with his daughter, so different from the one he knew, and a newly cautiously reestablished friendship with Vander. In the end, he might need to decide if he wants to keep his original path or he is able to face the reality of where it took him.flan

Summary:

Silco’s hand palm burns pleasantly as it connects with Vander’s cheek with a satisfying slap. “The only reason I am not killing you right now is because of our shared history.” He straightens and adjusts his cuff links. “Count yourself lucky that what you did to me is now protecting you. Get out of here and don’t ask any more questions. If I catch you snooping again, I might not be this merciful. Oh, and Mr Warwick?” Silco shoots him a cold smile. “I’m an industrialist. You’ll find that this is a legal position to hold in this country.” He instructs his people to let Vander go somewhere away from the cannery, and turns away. He’ll be late for dinner. Again. A knot forms in his stomach. “Silco.” He keeps walking. “It’s about Powder.” He stops. Turns around. Stares Vander down, whose expression is almost desperate. “I need to find him, Vi—.” “Powder is dead,” Silco interrupts him. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I am late for a meeting.” Or: A bad accident during their last scene is the catalyst for Vander and Silco's divorce. Twelve years later they meet again, both changed but yet still drawn to each other.

In The Window Of My Life

I took part in the @zaundadsbigbang this year and had a blast! Huge thanks to the moderators and to @amlugon who made such wonderful art for chapter 4!!!

Title: In The Window Of My Life

Rating: E

Word Count: 12,027

Summary: Life in the good timeline is going smoothly... until the Arcane decides to pull Silco from the main timeline through and drops him right in the middle of the Last Drop and everything is turned upside down. Silco, hurt and angry, will have to work through his feelings about Vander's betrayal, this new and improved Zaun, and the happy future that could have been his.

Excerpt: “It’s okay.” Vander’s voice was soft… gentle. The voice that instantly took Silco back to a happier time, when the two of them had been young enough to think they could change the world just by being stubborn enough to want it to be better. Silco sighed, pressing the palms of his hands against the grain of the wood in a futile attempt to ground himself. “Are we s’posed to call you both Silco?” Powder asked as she sat cross-legged on the chair between Silco and Vander and glancing between the two to them before shooting that other one a look across the table. “That’s gonna get confusing real fast.” Her father shrugged his shoulders, but Vander and Silco weren’t listening. “I am sorry I hurt you,” Vander continued, ignoring the others. “Well… apparently it wasn’t you, was it?” “For you it was me.” Silco’s lip twitched as he tried to school his expression. A look of deep concern crossed Vander’s face, and he reached out, laying his hand over Silco’s on the table. “Silk… I…” The reaction was immediate. With a snarl Silco leapt to his feet, tearing his hand out from under Vander’s. Faster than the others could see he drew a blade from his belt and drove it into the table, less than an inch from where Vander’s hand still rested. Vander blanched as he recognized it as the blade he had used during that terrible fight.
