this post excludes the women who are on the pill for medical reasons due to menstrual abnormalities/issues

i hate the fucking pill, the injection, the implant, all of it. women, and young girls (like myself) go on these things at such a young age. i decided to have the implant at 13/14, and looking back i don’t know why. was it to make me feel like a grown woman? i don’t know. but i do know that alot of girls, yes i mean girls, teenage girls, go on the pill just to satisfy their boyfriend. they go through all of the side effects just so their man can nut inside them without worries of pregnancy - which to an extent is understandable. but there are condoms (i know some condoms make the pussy burn and smell like rubber) but not all of them do. there are other ways to have sex that don’t involve PiV, but it’s usually never performed, or if it is, it’s very short. PiV isn’t even stimulating for the majority of women anyway. why sacrifice yourself just so ur man can creampie u??? ask yourself.

i think one of the most important things that ordinary radical feminists can do right now is to just keep speaking the truth about your lived experience and your body, keep unapologetically drawing connections between sexist oppression and how it manifests in menstruation taboos, impediments to breastfeeding outside the home, breast/nipple stigma, lack of research on diseases of the female body/how medication acts on the female body, how the burden of contraception is placed on us, malpractice and violence against women who are giving birth, how capitalism makes it impossible to be a mother and be independent, disparities in levels of sexual violence between men and women … and there’s so much more!

it’s sad to say, but patriarchy has deep roots in our world. it’s a subject rich in material. mine it. have faith in your fellow women and TALK about the injustices you’ve experienced, women WILL recognize the similarities.

focus on raising consciousness by highlighting common experiences between women as female people rather than pointing out dissimilarities between women and trans women.
