Saint Levant - From Gaza, With Love (Official Lyric Video)
Song of the day
The Christian population of Gaza is now something like ~1000 people. Given Israel's average, the whole population can be wiped out in 2-3 attacks.
Obviously this isn't a solid prediction but can you imagine?
My husband's extended family is part of this 1000. They are the only branch of the family that has been living in Gaza. Can you imagine that their presence can be totally obliterated?
A whole Palestinian ethnic group, the oldest Christians in the world, with its people, churches, culture and traditions - all can be disappeared in no time? And then we will tell our kids "there used to be..."?
there are going to be global demonstrations for Palestine on march 2nd, this site has more info
here's what's written on the front page:
"On March 2, millions across the world will march for Gaza! The Israeli government is planning to have a full-scale invasion of Rafah one week later, on March 9, one day before the start of Ramadan. Today, the United States vetoed a UN resolution that insisted that Israel immediately cease its mass killing spree in Gaza.
Now is the time to act! People around the world are going into the streets in cities and towns, including in the United States, as part of the global day of protest on Saturday, March 2.
Gaza is facing famine, its hospitals are besieged, threats of ground invasion in Rafah loom near, and Israel continues its onslaught on the over 2 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The mass movement for Palestine has led to the isolation of the US and Israel on the world stage. With growing internal divisions and heightened political pressure on Israel and the United States, it’s time to push even harder. Our mobilizations at this moment can be more decisive than ever, and we must show our full strength now to ensure a lasting ceasefire and an end to the siege on Gaza.
Act now, and mobilize in your communities and institutions, everyone must be on the streets on March 2nd! All out for Rafah! All out for Gaza! Stop the genocide!"

"Palestinian officials say" is grounds for lawsuits considering that is absolutely not what Palestinian officials have said.
I hope CNN gets what it deserves.
every single time israel fires on people picking up food or humanitarian aid it truly cuts me to the core. obviously it's equally horrible to fire on civilians escaping the invasion or to bomb hospitals or refugee camps or people just living in their own homes. but there's something so brutal about hitting people right when they have gathered for life-saving aid. by firing on them there the IOF have set up an impossible dilemma where starving people have to choose between death by bullet or death by hunger. they have left no room for palestinians to choose life. i do not know how my government or any other government can just sit by and watch while innocent people continue to be gunned down for the crime of existing in israel's eyeline.
here is a list of fundraisers for families trying to leave gaza. this post also has links for places to help. this is the irish palestinian solidarity campaign website. finally this is a post with the esim donation guide. i know most of you have probably seen all of these links and more but i just need to do something.
Since April 15, 2023, Sudan has been thrust into the heart of a humanitarian crisis as it grapples with the ominous specter of genocide…
The blackout in Sudan caused a severe chokehold on the flow of crucial information. The stifling absence of communication channels obstructs the dissemination of vital updates, hindering the ability of both local and international entities to comprehend the depth and dynamics of the crisis. This information blackout not only obstructs the coordination of essential services, medical assistance, and humanitarian aid but also creates a breeding ground for misinformation and speculation. The scarcity of accurate, real-time information not only challenges the immediate response efforts, but also compounds the difficulty of mapping out a comprehensive strategy to address the multifaceted challenges faced by the Sudanese population. Sarra Elhassan, a Sudanese content creator, explains how dire the situation is with the on-going blackout in Sudan on X (formerly known as Twitter). In her quick update for 23rd of Febuary, she claims that clashes are persisting in Khartoum, claiming civilian lives, while videos reveal RSF attacks in West Darfur’s Mukjar, part of an ethnic cleansing campaign causing massive displacement. In Jezira State, Tanoub village suffered casualties. The blackout exacerbates the hunger crisis, impacting 90% of Sudanese. E-banking disruption hampers access to necessities, leading to the shutdown of communal kitchens in conflict zones. The blackout’s ripple effects extend beyond communication disruptions, shaping a multidimensional crisis.

Famine is in Gaza because the IOF has been and is starving Palestinian people. 13 children...and the state of Northern Gaza is just beyond horrifying -this terrorizing occupation must end. This doesn't just stop at a ceasefire. The IOF must be held accountable for their war crimes.
The funds should not have been taken away to begin with. This was and remains a mass collective punishment of Palestinian people -just like the continued abstaining or vetoing of a ceasefire in Gaza by zionist supporting governments at the UN. So many of us knew the IOF was lying. That's what they chronically do to further their settler-colonial agenda, and many countries are complicit in this -especially the US that said they wouldn't be investigating the claims but that it could be 'plausible' but they could not confirm if the IOF was telling the truth.
It's just horrendous how Palestinian people have had to document their own genocide for nearly half a year now -and although we have seen horror after horror, western/european mainsteam mass media sources still blatantly remain silent about everything -they don't give an ounce of coverage to what is actually happening inside Gaza through Palestinian people's and journalists voices and lens'. It's absolutely vile.
How many children were killed from these starvation policies before they decided it was enough? The West never ceases to disgust me.
white people repeating what Palestinians say but louder and without crediting us or boosting us? yall will not see liberated Palestine I'll make sure of it
pay attention to when someone is posting a lot about palestine and doing numbers on tumblr but doesn't interact and is not friends with any of the known Palestinians on this site. and don't boost them maybe.
thanks ✌️
Rich Siegel, Jewish resident of Teaneck, NJ, at Township Council meeting
New Jersey trade with Israel is valued in the billions, and that's just the state of NJ alone, not even the rest of the US. As NJ Governor Phil Murphy said in a statement last year: "It(Israel) is a country we hold dear to our hearts, sharing an unbreakable bond with New Jersey. "
What zionists like Gov Murphy dance around is that their "unbreakable bond" is the same bond shared between violent criminals, forged with heaps of blood money and united by culpability.
not that before oct 7th i held the new york times to any sort of standard beyond a very specific brand of neoliberalism but it is horrifying to watch in real time the number of lies, the number of people involved and the attempts to keep the truth of the fabricated story from the average american mind truly is. something
here is a link to the intercept's story on the fabricated oct 7th expose by the new york times btw
Congolese Man Self-Immolates to Highlight Overlooked Genocide in Congo
I’m really glad that Aaron’s self-immolation for Palestine is getting attention, but on November 8th there was also a Congolese man who did the same thing for the genocide happening in the DRC. From what I read in the article above, his fate and identity are unknown but I think his story should be getting equal amount of traction and I haven’t really seen anyone talking about it on Tumblr specifically yet.
