The Community farm at the region Zen is coming along. Not too long until it can be opened for other people to start living here :) 

Built by The1Shaw with dogzack123, it features many floors of villager managed farms above ground and an extensive underground farm space for pumpkins and melons.

Zedwork Zurvival Halloween Spookathlon, hosted by Cuttlemaster and Sir_Overskill.

A new project, a LVS news cast saw the light of day! Huntresslove showed interest in a LVS Zedling Council recap, that is easier and faster than reading through  the complete log of topics.

And so this Video Format was borne! Memery did a great job as a host and SneakySkelleton helped to visualize it with the nice editing!

I’m looking forward to more of this.

The new Zedkins hall on Zurvival is officially finished!

In future, it will be used to host Zedkins Meetings in a stylish and mob save surrounding with enough space for the Zedkins members and visitors alike.

The church-like building is located in  the region pickaxe9 and also includes a more modern office building for the Zedkins, with storage space for projects of the community an a nice overview over the whole region. 

pickaxe9 is the location for a future town, that will hopefully have a lot of active players and have space for our diverse community.

I am looking forward to see life blooming around the hall!

The in-progress LVS meeting in search of a note taker.

They are holding the council in HOMINIX’ nice hall in the Savannah town.

While only about half of the Council members turned up, a lot of interested players are watching the proceedings.

Topics are for example the start into the server, also of interest to the Zurvival community.

It is encouraging for us on Zz though, that while we are hitting a low point with interest (next Zedkins on 8th August, on a monthly basis), also LVS has to fight for their members.

Work in progess, but already awesome!

Today I took a look at the region ‘sunset3′ . The name of the region will be subject to change, or so I am told. It’s an older region, on open water. So, a lot of space and flat surface, once the platform is built.

The main owner of the region is colossux, who is currently working on the biggest building there yet, a beautiful castle made out of stone with sandstone as highlights and contrast.

The next building is a commission work done by MyAppleJack, another castle and a pier, which are situated on an island. The wall design is pretty and the different but complimentary style fits nicely with the other castle.

Then we have a tower made by MrFrigg. I am told it will have additional buildings on the side. The height and the openes allows for a perfect overview of the other buildings and it’s the ideal starting platform for a nice flight around!

So, yes, I am very much looking forward to what will become of the region. It’s always good to see new and active projects one Zedwork Zurvival! I hope colossux the best of luck!

The 4th Zedkins was a good success!

Eventhough, only half of the members attended, the strong base group is starting to form.

And I am happy, that after a lot of encouragement, Kayzee finally volunteered to be voted in as member! And everyone was happy of her joining!

As usual, Zedwick promised to look into most of the suggestions and problems, but it was decided upon that the plugin, responsible for making coarse dirt tracks where you run a lot on grass should be taken out. It was making too much of a ‘mess’ (as Lala aptly put it).

At the end of the meeting, Dax presented his newest version of his Minigame, but unfortunatly, I was unable to join it.

I was happy to see people watching the meeting as well.

[Zz] Trading Guild on Zurvival!

So, after over a year without the chest shop plugin, I finally took the initative to create a spot for trading, inspired by the LVS Tower of Trades.

The white tower is in region Tretown 

Every Zedling has access to the chests and can trade using them, if they follow the rules. They are posted on the left side at the entrance of the tower. Not following the rules will be regarded as stealing and be dealt with by the mods and the admins.

To set up chests yourself, contact a member of the staff, so we can make sure you do it right and even assist you with materials. You can read the Set-Up Guidlines at the right side of the entrance:

And after your shopping trip, do relax in the lounge at the top of the tower! There is even a fast elevator up!

Mul’gore and Moria on LVS

EarthCow and his ‘Guild’ are working on an awesome project on latest.zedwork.co.uk : A giant underground / mine complex under an artificial mountain. It is gigantic. Maybe aliencarpet’s video can give you a look of how huge it is and will be:

The central region is called Mul’gore after the homeland of the Tauren, a bull like, humanoid race in World of Warcraft. Mulgore in the original is a region of open plains and despite being on bedrock level, due to the giant proportion of the cave you feel like being on an open field.

You can see see the bedrock under the field while the background does not even render in.

You’d think you’re outside in a forest.

The other part of the project is a rendition of the Dwarrowedelf Hall in the Mines of Moria, out ot the Lord of the Rings. 

You all know this place. Run you fools!

The first pillars are already visible, while a mineshaft goes far into the mountain, showing the size, this hall will be.

Yes those chests are full of stone.

In conlusion: I cannot wait to see more of this project! And I hope alien will show us another airborne video of it then. Those peeps are doing a great job!

What an evening! So many players online at the same time! We had food, fireworks and games!

The whole firework took over 8 minutes and consisted out of over more than 1800 rockets!

After a full Minecraft night of fireworks, the party gathered for a fun round of Words with Zedlings, a minigame similar to pictionary and some heated rounds of Bridge Wars. And, I can tell you, SneakySkeleton really honors his name! Even if you think you looked, he still sneakes behind your defences!

The evening was a success and I want to thank everyone who helped! From cake to gun powder and of course Zedwick’s games, I just want to thank you! And of course, thanks to everyone who attended!

P.S.: Now that you’ve seen the Ivory tower in Tretown, keep an eye out for news related to that and the topi of trade!
